WOMAN: It's no surprise to God. He's seen it all.

STANLEY: The good news?

WOMAN: The future looks brighter than ever...

STANLEY: *while a sparkle sound effect plays* ...as America comes together "One Nation Under God".

WOMAN: *while the same sparkle sound effect from before plays again* So as we celebrate the holidays, let's keep "Christ" in Christmas.

It only works based on keeping the general popoulation dumb and frustrated enough to enforce their outlandish claims by the sheer mass of ape bodies. In an academic setting their claims would fall on laughter, I can`t stand that some fuckoo with bare charismatic skills can claim anything in a serious debate by circumventing the intellect of the audience and relying on the moderator not doing his job right, that is immidiately shutting down all the proven false claims, demanding explanations based on facts, citations not parables and fables or somebody`s "old wisdom" and literally preventing the scammer from using any of his social manipulation skills while simultaneusly showing and explaining those tricks to the audience.

Worst part is what to do when they will use all the blunt force of the system to try to beat you into submission to their herd?

I have reason to believe that David Stanley doesn't believe a word of this and is simply saying that to trick gullible customers into supporting his business. Namely, because he's got some fraud charges behind him for lying about his selling practices, advising for loans that only benefit himself, and pressuring people into accepting bargains that have "enough strings attached to form a ball of yarn", as one source so eloquently puts it. He got a record-breakingly high fine in 2014 due in part to longstanding issues with the Motor Vehicle Commission, which has threatened in the past to yank his license to sell cars if he doesn't clean up his act. In an industry rife with fraud and false advertising, the fact that Stanley was charged that much and was threatened at all with license removal says quite a bit.

So it stands to reason that he'd change his fraud tactics to something that's harder for the Commission to ban him for, especially in Republican Christianville, USA. Its also a great way of identifying people who make ideal marks for a scam, as only the most non-analytical of fundies would fall for something like this. The less you analyze and research a deal and the advertising for it, the easier you make it for a con artist to secure your money and run.

Oh, and he has deep media ties that have prevented a lot of Oklahoma-based news sources from reporting on all this. What a peach!

So basically; This is a sleazy used-car guy whose worse than Harry Wormwood trying to make himself look "good" for the Bible-basher set in his town.
....and no where near as hilarious as Danny DeVito.

Kind of. I did get one detail wrong-- it was actually his license to sell any car in general that was going to be revoked, not just used cars. And it was the cars that worked, its just that he likes bait and switch, abusive lending practices, as well as abuses of terms and conditions to make people pay much more than anybody really should for a car. But besides that, right on.

Seriously Motor Vehicle Comission, you got so close to shutting this scam artist down. And you've already fined him more times than people have been injured at Action Park. Finish the job.
