Show me where it is written. Before the recent “opinion” of the “Supreme” Court, marriage was strictly between a man and a woman in 39 states. 11 states had legalized it through the legislative process, 3 by direct election of the people, and 8 by action of State Legislatures. Today, marriage is still illegal in all 39 of the states where the law is still on the books. The “Supreme” Court cannot change the law, but can only offer opinions about it.
There actually was a Federal Law regarding homo-marriage. It was called the Defense of Marriage Act and was passed by the U.S. Congress in 1996. The activist courts illegally overturned it by judicial fiat in 2013; however this did not nullify the law that was on the books. They only told us that it did, and we believed it, and told others to believe it.
Again, prove to me where it is written. YOU CAN'T!!!!

You don't understand laws, do you? Where is the law legalizing hetero marriage? You will not find that either.
Prohibiting same-sex marriage is unconstitutional, that's why the Supreme Court struck down the laws that make SSM illegal.
It's the Supreme Court's job, according to the Constitution, to interpret federal laws and judge whether they are in accordance with the Constitution.
You have the right to your "opinion" that the Supreme Court doesn't follow your deluded idea of "laws", but you will sound very stupid when you voice it.
The DOMA was deemed unconstitutional and removed. It's the making of laws that are unconstitutional that is illegal, silly.
Again, laws state what is illegal, or there would have to be a law legalizing blinking and walking.
Go back to high school and learn how our government works, then come back if you want to debate. I'm getting tired of hearing this "no law legalizing gay marriage" and "unelected judges making law from the bench" nonsense. I mean, I totally disagreed with decisions such as Citizens United and Greece v. Galloway , but I didn't run around like an idiot claiming that the Supreme Court didn't have authority to make those decisions.

(DOMA attempted to force a singular definition of marriage by the standards of one religion, thus attempting to enforce favour of that one religion and prohibiting the free excercise of any religious body that did not prohibit such marriages. From a purely legal standpoint marriage itself and the benefits thereof are not intrinsically bound by any religion and any attempt to change this would not be legal and could even result in marriage completely losing all legally upheld recognition, rights, or benefits for anyone ever again.)

(Again, DOMA is a clear abridgement of the rights of US citizens and an attempt to deny the legal protections and benefits of an institution not aligned with any particular religious body.)
I won't be surprised if you don't recognize the source document. It is apparantly very obscure in the United States.
Let’s try to keep it simple:
Before that SCOTUS decision, some laws stated, paraphrased, “Marriage is between two currently unmarried, consenting adults of different genders.” The SCOTUS, as it is its job, said that the part reading “of different genders” is an unconstitutional discrimination and is therefore null and void. There is no need to actually change the laws, as the SCOTUS decision means that everyone just has to ignore this part as if it weren’t there in the first place.
And before you start yelling “judicial dictatorship”, no, this is exactly what the SCOTUS was created to do. If you don’t like it, take it up with your “Founding Fathers”, it was their idea in the first place.

Weird how this has never come up in any court case. Gay marriage, abortion, interracial marriage, all this shit that ‘went away’ by judicial decision, no one has ever taken a case before a judge to say ‘That SCOTUS decision was just an opinion, the law is still on the books!!!’
