[On the lack of Wiccans in racial nationalist groups]
Do you mean those who hang around Stone Henge in white Frocks, and flowers in the hair, these sorts, ain't Followers of the Elder Ways, at least not in any Germanic form, they are simply playing at being druids and such, which is far from being of any Germanic heritage...
Middle-Class! Its them that hate us, a bunch of rich kids, playing at Revolution until they grow up and then they piss off back to Mummy and Daddy and get a Job at Daddy's Bank or Firm....
When i say hate us, i mean they hate their own people, I.E. The Englisc, It is the likes of them that are Fabians, Masons, Neo-Nazi-Liebour, the New Tories, the Lineral Internationalists who despise their own People..........
They wouldn't know what a real Heathen was if they were shown one!

Wiccans don't actually hate any other Pagans, though they have been known (as most of the Pagans I know do) to dislike christians intensely.
This is largely due to christians' behavior, however.
"playing at Revolution until they grow up and then they piss off back to Mummy and Daddy"
Sort of like you, then, Calladine.
...only, except that you're still playing at revolution even though you're, what, in your fifties now? Christ.
Yeah, that's why Jesus was born in York, the Vatican is in London and it's official language is Old English.
@Teutoburger with fries:
Is a Teutoburger that burger with Sauerkraut and roast beef?
Stonehenge (note the spelling) has nothing to do with Germanic rites. It's been there since about 1,800 BCE, long before the Germanic peoples emerged.
The Anglo Saxon influence on what was later to become England is unclear. There are arguments to the effect that there was no large-scale invasion. It is thought equally that the so-called Anglo Saxon invasion was really a matter of reculturisation of the original inhabitants by a small number of incomers. The matter is not settled.
Those in robes are not allowed near the ancient monument. It is closed off to the public. And besides, the builders would have been neither British (Celtic) or Germanic.
I've never known any Wiccans that claimed to follow the "Elder Ways" in a Germanic form. The deluded ones claimed to follow Celtic ways, and the non-deluded ones acknowledged they were following a made up mish-mash of whatever sounded good.
Besides, I thought it was neo-druids that hung out at Stonehenge.
Germanic? Anglo-saxon? Ugh! You lousy immigrants should push off back to Germania or Anglo-saxony or wherever, this is Britain , it belongs to us Britons, not a bunch of foreigners with their nasty, foreign ways!
{/sarcasm}
There are basically two groups of Heathens or Asatru, the kind that think only white people can be Heathens and other pagan groups catch flak from them if they use one of the Norse gods in their worship. They are essentially Heathens with a heavy bias against everyone else.
Then there the ones that don't care as long as you approach that path with conviction you can be a Heathen and don't typically care if other pagans have Odin next to Isis. They are trying really hard to separate themselves from the first group.
Since Heathens try to reconstruct a single form of past worship, Wiccans tend to catch a lot of shit from that first group because they are more about creating new traditions and new practices with a lot of mixing and matching of old ones along the way.

And no wonder. Wiccans are all about Love . No force is more powerful. (PROTIP: Jedi Knights such as Qui-Gon Jinn, and whose earlier Padawan - then later full Knight - Obi-Wan Kenobi, followed the path of The Force; a philosophy which fully embraced the Light Side, thus learning the method of attaining immortality via merging with the Force. Only possible by promoting unconditional Love, something impossible for Sith such as Darth Sidious. )
Palpatine would be a racist. They're all about Hate .
And Wicca? All are one on the same Earth. Love has no boundaries, no borders, no nationalities , cultures or races. There is only one race: the Human Race.
You tell 'em, SpukiKitty. <3
And here we see the incredibly rare pagan variation of the "No true Scotsman", note the beautiful plumage.
Although, TBF, the crowds around the stones at solstice do contain a high proportion of trustifarians.
Wicca and Neo-Paganism...
Both with no more historical validity than wishful thinking.
Okay okay, the Pagans miiiight have a bit more to work with, what with the fact that we do have a bit of knowledge about the worship of some of the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian gods. Even that is pretty much stuff that people get from playing Age of Mythology.
Racist idiot or delusional hippy, all of you 'neo-pagans' are the Civil War reenactors of religion. None of you are continuing a heritage from the past. You're just making up your own silly religion. Which is fine if that's what gets you off, but stop acting like you have anything in common with ancient religious people. If there was a time machine that could bring ancient 'pagans' into the present to see your beliefs they would find you outrageously childish.
Just so everyone knows, this guy is another supporter of Woden's Folk - the organisation which has taken bits of the 1980s television series Robin of Sherwood and tried to pass them off as genuine heathen religious beliefs:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woden%27s_Folk
We've had some of that lot at RSTDT in the past.
We're supposed to take someone who speaks "Englisc" seriously. That's rich.
@Ludd
Outrageously childish? Indeed. I'm sure modern Wiccans have much wisdom to partake from people who didn't know what germs or atoms are. Call it woolly-headed new age woo if you like, but in this case, I think I'll take the modern incarnation over the side that can claim historical validity.
Raised by Horses,
You're totally right. Actually Irish mythology would have you chopping people's heads off to take their power, only druids and poets and a few others get to use magic, and you would be staying huddled up in the cities to stay away from the forests unless you were a total actual badass.
New age stuff is comparatively harmless.
Congratulations, you've just confirmed that members of another religion/cult don't share any of your beliefs.
Now perhaps if you'd take a few seconds to analyze other bits of painfully obvious information you might discover that the Celts, Gauls, and other natives of the modern British Isles who predate both Viking and Roman invasions scoff at your claim to being the 'true' English because they were there first and the people who hate you aren't jealous, they just think you're a total asshole that wants to plant a flag in the ground and claim all things are owed to him.
Why should Wiccans be interested in any particular ethnic heritage? Goddess worship prevailed from the Cro-Magnon caves to the Middle East, Asia, Africa, etc.
@Anon-e-moose
Jedi Knights are supposed to be stoic, and while they obviously allow some emotion, showing lots of any emotion is bad. Even the ones we think of as 'good' like love or happiness. Sith don't feed merely off of hatred and anger (though they mostly do) but all passion.
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
(There is no chaos, there is harmony.)
There is no death, there is the Force.
The Jedi Code (Based on the meditations of Odan-Urr)
I would say love can stir much passion and destruction of peace. Look at what happened to Anakin: If he never loved anybody ever, there would have been a ton less dead sand people and one less Sith Lord.
I've no idea how the Force factored into this thread, but I might as well go ahead and say a few things confuse me about Jedi. They're supposed to act with compassion, but also distance themselves from emotion. They're opposed to tyranny and domination, but will rape your mind out of convenience. Not just life or death stuff either, I mean they'll mind trick you into giving them a 50% discount on a candy bar and accepting an IOU made out to a fake name. How do they reconcile that?
Confused?
