I know, let's have someone rip crip's gonads off, then require he display them prominantly in his yard for him and the rest of the world to see every day.
He may see it as a burden, but this trial is a gift from God. Really.
It´s a gift if it´s conceived with love and in a nice environment. I think that the girl should give the child in adoption, I feel, but please, don´t say that we´re pessimistic. Specially regarding that, if idiots like you didn´t insist on your old motto, keep your legs closed, she would not suffer so much, being seen as a whore
If crip were raped and became [regnant and then could come on and say she considered the poor misbegotten thing a gift then she's a stonger person than I. Somehow, though, I dounbt that she would feel this way---with the fundies it's always different when it comes to them.
It's not a baby at the time the abortion would be performed.
If one doesn't have the finances or the emotional strength to support a child, then the child would be a burden, not a gift.
I know plenty of people who are NOT, repeat NOT, gifts. Assuming that every person is a gift, denies the evidence.
I'm guessing Crip's father raped Crip's mother, and that's where Crip came from, so now s/he's doing everything s/he can to convince himself/herself that rape babies are "gifts". Probably because Crip's mother hates him/her.
If you read further into the thread, later on she says "I was raped. I believe it was for a reason."
If she needs a reason to help herself through her ordeal, I have no problem with that. If I was raped and pregnate, however, I do not think that I would want her beliefs legistlated for what I should do regarding my trauma.

Fuckin' hell! What possible reason could an all-powerful being have for causing someone to be raped? He can come to earth as a human or a spirit but he can't relate a message to a girl without causing sexual assualt?
“The Christian resolve to find the world evil and ugly, has made the world evil and ugly.”
- Friedrich Nietzsche
I agree with you Redhunter that needing a reason isn't necessarily the healthiest thing to think as opposed to learning that the world is a dangerous place and learning how to protect oneself from it.
I hope that this poor girl will learn that her religion is crutch for her trauma and overcome that. However, if "having a reason" keeps her from killing herself or doing something else harmful to herself, than perhaps her "belief" is best-certainly for the time being at least if it keeps her from physically or otherwise obviously harming herself.
Ok crip <3, lets see YOU get pregnant when you cannot possibly support the baby, and then have to wrestle with the guilt and the anxiety wondering how the hell you can take care of the child. THEN tell us that, "a baby is a gift from God no matteer what".
I actually agree with crip, babies are valuable and shouldn't be killed (even as a "blob").
I, like her, am completely against abortion, even if the women is raped, which is only about 2% of the cases anyway, because 98% of the cases of abortion are for "convenience" reasons (It gets me really angry).
Although, if someone is raped and has a baby, we must give them as much support as possible, but please, don't kill a baby.
Proverbs 6:16-17
16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Jeremiah 1:5
5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Luke 1:15
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
It's not a baby at the time the abortion would be performed.
It is according to scripture.
richardT: You are entitled to your opinion, and I respect it, although I strongly disagree. But I just want you to know that for me, and surely for lots of people in this comments forum, what scriptures say has zero relevance.
crip <3: if she was raped and believes it was for some reason, will she resist if she is raped again? Because if it's for a reason, she should allow it and be thankful.
richardT: According to scripture, it is NOT a baby.
"If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life" (Exodus 21:22-23)
OMG, Seomah, did crip <3 really say that last part there?? That's, like, rape advocate of the century right there.
According to the comment of Burning Stake:
<<If you read further into the thread, later on she says "I was raped. I believe it was for a reason.">>
My comment is just the logical extension of that idea, assuming she means a 'good reason', not just any reason. I also think it was for some reason, mainly concerning the rapist urges, moral, and concience.
crip <3 is something
wrong with your
spacebar? Would you like for me
to come fix it
for you?
Oh nevermind, you're just a fucking moron.
Ok. If I came over to your house and gave you an elephant, you should thank me.
Elephants are awesome.
Now, you will need to feed it your own body weight probably a few times a day at least, and hide it from the local authorities, and give it proper training and hope it doesn't destroy your house...
But it's a gift!
A baby, forced upon a woman, is a gift. Unless, of course, she is unmarried and had sex willingly, in which case it's a "consequence", and "just what she deserved".
Schizo fundies.
Confused?
