Collecting child pornography tacitly legitimizes the corruption of the original deed. Collecting killers' daggers doesn't (not necessarily, anyway). The stuff's effectively a signal that the person in question has no qualms with letting children suffer agony absolute.
The difference being, of course, that the photos and videos aren't merely an implement used in committing a crime. They ARE the crime. Collecting them would be like collecting the corpses of those murder victims you mention. Which is very much illegal.

As to which fundamentalism this is...I wouldn't be surprised if Deleted and the other Reddit entry want nothing to do with child pornography themselves. Rather, notice which category of Reddit these were under--Libertarianism. There's a good chance they're arguing that trying to fully interdict even something as utterly baleful as child pornography would lead to even more baleful (to them, anyway) government control/nannying.

Also, knives have uses besides murder, such as cooking. If you own child porn, it's probably because you have pedophilic tendencies, and you need psychological help before you hurt some poor kid. Those who take advantage of children who almost certainly do not fully understand the situation, and couldn't consent even if they did, in order to profit are even more despicable.

Er... yes? I mean, if it's actually the murder weapon, then it's evidence, and should be in police custody, not a private collection. Since I very much doubt they'd release an item like that onto the market intentionally, owning it would make you guilty of receiving stolen goods at the very least.

Fuck you. This is actually an issue that I'm pretty torn over, but it's not because I'm a sick child-rape apologist like you.
I do think that more energy should be put into stopping child rapists who make child pornography than prosecuting the sick fucks who "consume" it, but that's simply because I believe that the #1 priority should be getting sexually exploited children to safety. If I had to choose between getting one sexually exploited child to safety versus prosecuting one sick fuck getting off on it, I would choose to save the child.
But that does not mean consuming child pornogaphy is "okay" or "harmless." Capitalism 101 says that wherever there is an untapped market of buyers, willing sellers will flock. If you think sick fucks don't spend money on child porn and the predators who make it don't make a financial profit from it, you are seriously fucking deluded. But even if we ignore that fact, the thrill of sharing sick shit with the world is profit enough for some people. Porn doesn't cost money? In which world are you living? Knives used in murders ought to be handed in to the police, and evidence of child molestations ought also to be handed in to the police.
Child porn is the very reason for a lot of child molestations. No-one murders someone for the sole purpose of making the knife infamous. People ARE being paid to molest children in far off countries, RIGHT NOW, so that people in the west can watch the molestation online, as it happens.
