The growing number of homosexuals is due to their practice of no longer staying in the closet. When they keep their lifestyle choices private, it is between them and God. God will choose when and if He will place conviction upon their heart.
However, when they make their choices public, the Bible tells us that it then is no longer between the sinner and God. Homosexuality is contagious. Of course, I realize that statement may sound insane to some and homosexual activists will make fun of it. A person does not "catch" homosexuality as they would the common flu bug. But homosexuality is a mental depravity that has severe consequences for society and its social acceptance IS contagious. It is increasingly viewed by even children as a legitimate form of a romantic relationship that should receive God's blessing.

So what? I consider it a "legitimate form of a romantic relationship". That doesn't mean I'm going to run out and start having sex with men. Teaching kids it's OK to be gay and to not discriminate against gays doesn't teach them to be gay. As Rev. Haslip says himself, "gay" isn't catching.
Let's get this perfectly straight (no pun intended). Privacy is not the closet. I keep my gayness about as private as an average straight person keeps his or her/his heterosexuality. Which means that it's sometimes mentioned. Just because a couple tells you they're dating doesn't mean that they don't keep their sex life largely private.
I should be able to say I have a girlfriend without someone looking at me as though I've just raped their puppy. That's all.
This guy is a Klansman. Nothing he says can possibly be considered valid to a civilised person.
...Imagine, a hardcore racist whining about someone else having "severe consequences" for society. Unbefuckinglieveable.

If I had kids, I'd sure as hell teach them that *any* relationship based on genuine commitment to a mutual promise to love and support one another no matter what deserved to be blessed by everyone, including any available god(s), and that anyone who chose to condemn those people instead is no one I'd want to spend eternity with anyway. Unlike you, Rev. Heslip, I actually like to see people care about one another whenever possible.

Contagious means that a bug infects a cell and somebody gets sick. If homosexuality is a sickness, there should be a virus for that. There isn't. If it's a mental illness, it's never contagious(how many epileptics have passed it to another person?). Following your stupid logic, everybody should be African American after the civil rights or Jewish after the holocaust.
He's a reverend AND a Klansman? Good Lord.

/Fixed./
So, if a person is not diagnosed, say, a tumor, the tumor doesn't exist?. That's the conclusion I have taken from your rant.
Being out might be contagious. Homosexuality is not.
Knowing that you can be beaten up, hated, discriminated against and even killed, tend to curb your demonstration of your orientation.
Why should they keep their "lifestyle choices" private, when we straight people don't keep our "lifestyle choices" private? Homosexuality is a normal variation in sexual orientations, and it has almost no consequences for society.
Children are seldom judgmental, they accept things for what they are.
Homosexuality IS a legitimate form of attraction and romantic relationship. The blessing of imaginary beings is not important.
Hey, opponents of marriage equality, look who's on your side!
Weird huh? I mean, your propaganda insists that the KKK is made up of liberals, since it was founded by the Democrats and stuff. Now it turns out that you're working towards the same goal. I wonder how you'll work your way out of that conundrum.
Eh, you'll probably just shout "Benghazi!"
...I'm sorry, what was that Mr. Heslipped ? I'm afraid I can't - over the tumultuous sounds of Fabulousness - hear the virtually silent squeak of the Irrelevant .
Because that's what the KKK are nowadays: an Irrelevance . Just like their Neo-Nazi bum boys, amirite...?! >:D
I'm willing to bet all the money in my bank accounts and everything that I own that you're not an expert on psychology and are not qualified to say what is mental depravity and what is it. The experts at the APA and pretty much every other accredited psychological and psychiatric organization around the world say homosexuality is not a mental disorder. Yes, it would seem social acceptance of homosexuality is spreading, and even children see gay people as human beings worthy of equal rights and respect. That's what people like you have always really been afraid of, that the next generation wouldn't share your bigotry. I'm glad that you (kind of_) admitted it. The honesty is refreshing.
Confused?
