I guess I'm not the target audience here, but I was still fired from my job after Dubbya dumped, not just the US, but the whole world into the Financial Crisis abyss. Been there, done that. I was afraid that we'd get another incompetent daddy's-little-rich-boy as head of one of the most powerful countries in the world.
Nixon was a leftist? Ford? Reagan? Bush Sr? Bush Jr? According to Wikipedia, there have been 5 rightist presidents during the last 50 yeas, but only 4 leftist presidents. If times are hard, the rightists are just as much, if not even more, to blame for it.

Looking at pictures of Forney, again, see my opinion that he looks like that guy who always whines about how women put "nice guys in the friend zone and only go out with jerks", and I can't help but feel that the reason he's so set against of feminism can be boiled down to the fact that at heart, he's still that nerdy "nice guy" who thinks that feminism is the reason why he can't get a girlfriend.
An attitude that the toxic, circle-jerking echo chamber that is the "manosphere" only magnified.
Either that or he's still bitter that the pretty girl he followed around like a lost puppy dog all through high school or college "friend zoned" him for "Chad".

You know, the quality of a leader can be judged by those who follow him. Considering that people like this are those who follow Trump (and that's putting it mildly), I have reason enough to hate the man.
I've tried to keep an open mind after he was elected, I've tried to give him a chance (which is far more than what the right wingers did for Obama) but the things his followers and friends and allies keep saying and doing without any dissaproval from him have pushed him beyond redemption.

Meanwhile in the real world, Congress will continue to have its thumb up its rear for the foreseeable future and, barring some huge impeachment-earning scandal (which I will not discount entirely) the President will either be reelected or not owing almost solely to whether the economy currently sucks. It's pretty much ditto marks from the last few decades.

The Paris accords are a disaster and will only lead to a reduction in standards of living (which actually is proven to kill people, when people can't even heat their homes in the winter or don't have running hot water guess what happens?)

Let's not delve into all the horrible things Trump and his new parlament of idiots have said during and after his campaign (for example that torture seems to be a good way of getting information), let's not even deal with the fact that our current living standard is not dependent on fossil fuels (it relies much more on dangerous overuse of ressources on Earth in general and very poor distribution of goods favoring the rich nations) no, let's get into the fact that "life on Earth" doesn't include only humans in first world countries.
