Yes, all very nice, I'm sure. However, the secular world is the real world. The mystical world that you like to fantasize about is not real. just pretend. How do I know? Because there is no evidence of God or Satan or demons and angels or of heaven and hell.
Of course, it's possible to believe that these things exist or, equally, that they don't exist, and you have chosen the path of the mystic. Being anti homosexual just because it suits the coherence of your mystical world is as abhorrent as is being anti homosexual in the real world.
That's the problem with your mystical fantasizing, it seems harmless enough an indulgence on the surface but if taken to extremes it leads to zealotry, fanaticism, and fundamentalism. All this waffle about God and Jesus that fundamentalists indulge in is hardly germane to the well being of individuals or societies and just causes fundamentalists to become loonies and disrupts the harmony of nations.
As you said, not everyone who claims to be Christian is. The fundamental cultists pretend to be Christians but they are not, they are arseholes. The fundamentalist cults hang desperately on to the coattails of Christianity to try and give themselves some legitimacy. Of course, they fail dismally.
You claim that there is persecution of Christians, and yet you are not a Christian but a pretentious wannabe-Christian-fundie. A persecution complex is a fundie characteristic.
Modern Christianity is far more practical and reasonable then rabid fundamentalism and the modern Christian does not feel persecuted. Nor does the modern Christian feel the childish need for the bible to be taken as being literally correct. The bible's lack of consistency is legendary and is considered something of a joke, as are fundies.
The best thing about fundamental cultism from the point of view of society as a whole is that it is so abhorrent a creed, so obviously full of deceit, distortion and lies, that it is turning people off religion and forcing them to deal with reality. Hooray!
