You might be right about "capitalist," but there's no way "straight" was invented by the LGBT movement. It's basically another way of calling heterosexual people "normal," and I doubt non-cishets would've chosen that.

The OED have included in recent years 'Lolcat' & 'Unboxing'. If you're lucky, they might put in a future edition, say, the two-volume Concise the word 'Antifa'.
You may be a man, but "normal" I strongly doubt.
As for straight, I don't know who coined the term, but would like to. My dictionary gave 10 definitions for it, before 11/ heterosexual. It's probably similar to the other meaning of "honest, law-abiding". I also wonder where "the straight" came from, in a horse race?
Before we took on the more American terms gay v straight, no doubt after the Gay Liberation movement of the 70s, in my country a homosexual was called "camp" and a heterosexual known as "square". I think we should describe you as a square.

It would have directly came from the "Straight and narrow" as in the societal accepted way. The phrase is old enough that it's way beyond any Homosexual agenda, probably describing a lawful life first, then behaviors like keeping your lawn neat before anything gay.
