well in my biology class right now we are talking about genes. basically if your tall, you can pass that down, if you have a history of diabetes in your family you might pass that down, but if your born skinny, then you start working out and eating some stuff that makes you big and bulky, your not gonna pass , being strong and muscular, down cause you became that after you were born. Just like homosexuality. You weren't born gay, the devil plants it in your mind after you are mature enough to understand it, therefore you can't pass that down because you were not born with it. [if i messed up anything feel free to reply!]

How do you know? Were you lusting after the babes when you were an infant. Getting a tiny, little woody while breast-feeding? Having a wet dream before you were toilet trained?

AFAIK, homosexuality is not genetic, and will not get passed down; sexual orientation is determined by prenatal hormones. (Before birth, yes. Hereditary, no.) If anything here is incorrect, feel free to reply. Fortunately, you will be ABLE to reply to me; many people die trying to parse EyohyphenStounderscoreBenhyphenNeexclaimationpoint's post, and the ones that do find that replying to her is remarkably similar to explaining biology to a brick wall.
@Maronan: I've not been following the field particularly closely, but from what I've read there seems to be a genetic component in male homosexuality. One New Scientist piece reported that genes account for 20% of the incidence of male homosexuality.

It's not just tall or short, eye and hair color, and skin that's passed on. Fat parents tend to have fat kids, skinny parents have 97-pound weaklings who don't bulk up without the help of steroids. That said, there are a lot of traits that are passed on, including homosexuality. Your kids could get their uncle's gay gene.
