in 1920, the treatment for gender dysphoria was to basically brainwash the mind to ignore the identity signals it was getting, and match what the doctors thought their sex was. In the 1940s, they pioneered a European treatment that made the body match what the brain was telling it. It’s been the most successful medial procedure ever found. The regret rate is less than 1%. KNEE surgery isn’t that good.
