I would say 100% Christianity is compatible with science. But the thing is, the Theory of Evolution has not been concretely proven, and there is reasonable evidence to believe that God did create the Earth in 7 literal days, not only because of what the Bible says but because of how the Theory of Evolution doesn't work. I am a young-Earth creationist, and I believe that God created in 7 literal days and that the Earth is roughly 6000 years old. I think science is a fantastic way to understand what God has made, as long as it doesn't make stories up on the way.

Six days, sweetie. 6 day creation. On the 7th He rested.
Read the book some time.
Also, even if evolutionary theory does not work, that is NOT evidence FOR creation myths. That's not how it works.

As compatible as oil is with water…
But the thing is, the Theory of Evolution has not been concretely proven[…]because of how the Theory of Evolution doesn't work.
Even IF evolution hasn’t been proven yet, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. And I certainly do not see how it supports your specific creation myth. For all we know, the Norse or Greek or Egyptian creation myths were the right ones all along…

So, science only counts as long as it supports your fantasies? In other words, science doesn’t count at all then.
The Theory of Evolution is tested and confirmed as a theory. If you want “proof”, you have to go to Math.
There isn’t even any evidence for the existence of ANY gods, let alone your particular one. So no, there is NO evidence whatsoever of your particular god creating Earth in 7 literal days.
The ToE does work, that’s why it’s called “THEORY”, dolt. The ones that are not proven (yet) are called hypotheses. The ones that will never be proven are called Myths, Legends, Religions.
You have every right to believe in whatever fairy-tale you want. You do not have the right to replace facts with your fairy tale.
Actual history and archeology show clearly that modern man has been around for at least 40 000 years.
I think you don’t have a clue what SCIENCE really is. Your religion is a story made up on the way, silly.

Are they basing themselves on Jack Chick’s Big Daddy ?
Where at one point, we have this:
Creationist student: "Are there not six basic concepts of evolution?"
Professor: "Yes!"
On the blackboard are Kent Hovind’s 'six basic concepts of evolution':
1. Cosmic Evolution - Big Bang makes hydrogen
2. Chemical Evolution - higher elements evolve
3. Evolution of stars and planets from gas
4. Organic Evolution - life from rocks
5. Macro-evolution - changes between different kinds of plants and animals
6. Micro-evolution - changes within kinds
Creationist student: "Only the last one has been observed and can be called science. The first five are believed on faith."
Rest of class: "HE’S GOT A POINT THERE! "
Professor: "I don't like your attitude! Let's discuss prehistoric man."

Absence of evidence is, absolutely, evidence of absence. Science isn't in the business of proving a negative because you can't.
Anyone claiming a presence must bring evidence for that presence, and "ancient book of oral traditions" does not qualify when such books claim everything from dragons to sea monsters to magical plagues, everything from gods being birthed through cracked skulls to Jews in Egypt.
The book loses all credibility through the unreliable nature of oral, and recorded oral traditions.
