I've learnt to side with the "bad" people of my own kind even over the "good" people of another's.

It's the only sane strategy. No more half measures. We have to go all in on tribalism.

It's that kind of loyalty that alone has the power to rebuild broken racial bonds.

So you'd rather hang out and get chummy with a child molesting serial rapist than a stand up peace officer just because of their skin color?

No idea why good and bad is in quotes, and if that's more just general demeanor vs being actual criminals/scumbags, but if so he needs to detail it.

I’m of the same “race” as you, but you ain’t a person “of my own kind” anyway!

You side with the bad people, period. You call the good people “traitors” and I hear a shocking amount of praise out of your *actual* kind for extremist cultures that condone public acts of violence to frighten people into line with their norms ranging from normalized physical abuse of children, tossing their own ethnic or sexual minorities from rooftops, beheading those seen as nonconformist, general oppression, and especially acts of rape.

Tribalism is not a viable strategy for the 21st century.

The world will continue to shrink and if we hope to survive, we need to learn how to get along. I understand the appeal of tribalism, especially for bigots, but it's ultimately a dead end.

Staying loyal to your "tribe" may let you feel safe and secure, but when everyone else is forging alliances, you're going to wind up out in the cold. And very much outnumbered.
