The path to war began when the US/NATO supported a neo-nazi coup to overthrow the democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014. Ever since, the US/NATO has been arming/training Ukraine's military in the hope of baiting Russia into war. Well, that part of the plan worked. The rest of it (destroying Russia's economy, deposing Putin, weakening the Russia/China relationship) not so much. The Bidenistas have been working on this project for a decade. Unfortunately, like every other "can't fail" war the US has waged since Vietnam, it's failing. Ukraine cannot "win" this war by any conventional measure. The only hope is a ceasefire and a return to the Minsk II agreement. Sadly, it appears the US is determined to make sure the war lasts as long as possible to make their arms manufacturers as rich as possible.
