“Tolerance” is not about acceptance. Conservatives accept homosexuals and the sinful life they lead - inasmuch as the vast majority do not call for their extermination. The Bible tells us people will go to hell. “Tolerance,” as used by the militant homosexual lobby, really means “approval.” Which they will never get from me.

Simply not calling for extermination is not tolerance. You also have to not call for them to be beaten up, fired, evicted, or refused healthcare or visitation rights simply for being gay as well.

Accepting someone means taking someone as they are, to treat them with respect.

Uh...no...calling them sinful is not what most people call "acceptance". It's what is referred to as good old-fashioned hating, and people who hate are, in a word, hateful. "Not calling for their extermination" is a very low bar indeed, and still you seem to want to get below it.

And if you are not condemning the "minority" of people calling for gays to be killed, then you are giving tacit approval. Good luck recruiting gay people to conservatism. Seriously, what you're saying is, "Hey, we conservatives accept gays because less than half of us think they all ought to be killed."

Tolerance is closer to acceptance than to approval. But they are all three sort of synonyms.

No one's asking you to approve, or cooperate, or participate.
I mean, if ANYTHING I do is not approved by your god, that's between me and Her. There's really no burden on you to keep reminding me of the fact, to treat me any differently because of that fact, to point to those who DO call for my death and call free speech...
