Fail. Trump fucked it all up, the deep state didn't need to do a damn thing. The economy was crashing well before Covid-19. Trump fucks up negotiations, world leaders have laughed at him.

Looks more like this virus is Trump's last chance to be popular.

Well, on the one side you have a socially stunted strongman with ridonkulous hair who can’t take a dram of criticism without vastly over-reacting to the point where he would gleefully toss blood relatives under the bus in order to save face and who comes up with outlandish lies that serve no purpose but to confound the people and whose idea of international policy is to gaffe his way through and hope people are gullible enough to believe him when he says it all went according to plan, and…well, Kim Jong Un, who’s the same, only when he does the racist Asian slanty-eyes thing, it’s okay. Honestly, that every meeting between the two of them doesn’t either devolve into a passionate make-out session, a training montage ala The Karate Kid where the seasoned mentor schools the naive newcomer in the art of dickery on a national scale or a fucking Three Stooges routine to the death, is nothing shy of a statistical improbability

I love the frantically elaborate excuse-making. Yes, we started a virus in China that gradually infected the rest of the world, then somehow forced Trump to respond incompetently and make things worse.
If some vast conspiracy was really trying to oust Trump, one quick poisoned jab during a medical checkup would do, and a sudden massive stroke would be totally believable. No need for anything complicated.
