This is what they do. They target those who they perceive to be vulnerable to their brainwashing/grooming; "eggs to crack" and all that twisted shit.
I have zero doubts that had I and my friends been born two decades later, many of them (especially the tomboys) would've been groomed or attempted to be groomed into being a transtrender.

A cis person living like they’re transgender because it’s ‘trendy’? Jormungandr, one more anti-trans who insists on promoting the idea that anyone identifying as transgender is 100% the result of outside influence, recycling ‘gay recruitment’ ideas.
There’s no profit in getting kids to identify as transgender.
(Anti-trans people have said the whole thing is a medical scam, however, there are much easier and more profitable medical scams which are practiced all the time.)
Conservatives may not be the strongest supporters of the Green movement, but they do believe in recycling old ideas, like accusations against minorities. Must be because they have so little creativity of their own.
The "grooming" fantasy is as bankrupt when used against transgenders as when it's used against homosexuals. Give it up already.

Yeah, I get the feeling that many of the people accusing us LGBTQIAA2S+ people of being that just to be trendy are the kind of people who think and act a certain way because that’s what’s ‘in’ in the crowd they hang with.
As I have said in the past, I feel that there is a strong element of ‘oh no, my kid turned out LGBTQIAA2S+, this is so embarrassing, I can’t believe they are humiliating me this way, what will I tell my friends?’ in many anti-trans posts that come our way.

They’re taught two things above all: Appearances and obedience. Appear to be what you’re expected to be, and obey the one who has that expectation without question even if logically it contradicts they appearance they want. Like a “good” “peaceful” and “respectful” Christian who is expected to be a hateful piece of shit that publicly attacks others at every opportunity because quiet faith has the “appearance” of weakness to them while belligerence and selectively shouting scripture that often has no meaning to them to be seen and heard in the streets in sheer self-centred performance is their gold standard. It’s the difference between the performative patriotism of people who festoon themselves in flags and jingoism and the real patriotism of people who do everything they can and would give everything the are to make life any more bearable for the rest of their countries. And it’s always “think about how this reflects on me” rather than “think about the message you’re trying to give” which even if they try to impart that message in the shittiest way for the shittiest reasons that simple distinction is still everything.
