That doesn't sound bad. Qualified atheists and homosexuals should be able to do well in public office. Indeed, atheists might do better than religious persons as they are not guided by imaginary friends and the ancient fairy tales of desert tribesmen.

No one is advocating "conversion" to homosexuality, only that homosexuals be afforded the same rights as heterosexuals.
I would be elated if more Xians would become atheists, but the Democrats are proposing any laws to impose atheism on anyone.

There are many Xian Democrats who I'm sure do not wish to forget that. Of course, there are many persons, Democrat, Republican and others, who would wish you to reexamine your unsupported assertions. Perhaps you could start by proving that your God exists.
