(Regarding the video game Wolverine having options for violence)

Adding censorship ruins the game and the character.

I don't give a shit if it is toggleable. It limits how brutal Wolverine can be with just the idea.

This is isn't a game for Wolverine fans. It is a game for as wide an audience as possible, which translates to a game for nobody.

If I choose to make it as gory and violent as possibpe, that is my right amd I will do that while making it as easy as possible. If someone wants to limit gore that's their right

So, basically people can customize their play experience to an extent, which you experience as some sort of soft censorship just because others can play the game differently, which makes it a game for “no one”? That sounds like a you issue.

This doesn’t sound like a case of catering to the lowest common denominator, it’s catering to multiple denominators.

Ever notice that Wolverine doesn’t usually reveal intestines in certain team-ups?
Some titles, the fans are there for the blood and gore. Some titles, the fans are there for the fight scenes, but not necessarily an examination of what the villain (or the Hero!) at 28 hours ago.

Games have been made too bland trying to avoid violence. However, the fact that they are giving it a toggle means they can make it more violent when enabled. It’s liable to be bloodier then it would otherwise.

If it’s optional, it’s not censorship, dumbass.
