AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to game and fish; directing the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission to establish a big foot hunting season; providing for codification; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW
A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5-603 of Title 29,unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission shall promulgate rules establishing a big foot hunting season. The Commission shall set annual season dates and create any necessary specific hunting licenses and fees.
SECTION 2.
This act shall become effective November 1, 2021

Ok, a quick look has the lawmaker seem more a Mayor Bubba from the terrible Pumkinhead 2 movie, who's more trying to attract tourists and tourists' money.

So, sure. If he really believes in it, he's wacky, but taking advantage of idiots isn't the worst way to raise a state's revenue.

Yeah I agree. Republicans certainly know the value of fleecing fanatics and on the less morally objectionable side if you can't stop crazy with sense you can at least run harm reduction nudging it into a set of more easily moderated conditions for tolerance. As I understand it America set up a dedicated resource for reporting Elvis sightings to make sure law enforcement with much better things to weren't perpetually flooded with calls.

If this became law, I'd expect a lot of would be bigfoot hunters to get shot by other would be bigfoot hunters

I somehow don’t really see a downside to that, as long as no bystanders get shot.

How would most people react if a Bigfoot hunter really shot an actual Bigfoot, proving that there really are Bigfoots (Bigfeet?)?

Probably by hoping it was a unique entity and not an entire race of dangerously stealthy giants that would then have reason to consider us a threat... or else auction off the right to hunt them to extinction to idiots like Trump Jr.
