This is clearly an anti-religion and anti-spirituality website that has some of my blog posts on it. Now it's not that I care what you think. In fact, I know I'm giving you way too much exposure for the libelous information you spread about me and probably many others, and the amazing ignorance you have about Greek theology, but this is largely a site where people find personal individuals online and attack them for their religious beliefs. What makes you even more cowardly and low character is that you do this theft and libel behind a computer screen. You’d never have the brass to face the person in real life.
My blog posts that were directly stolen and copied by you guys (which violates copyright) were not fundamentalist. Your definition of fundie or crackpot is simply someone who doesn't see the world the way you do, which actually makes YOU the fundies. You also have a habit of editing blog posts or articles to make someone sound unhinged or crazy. I admit, some people you have posted are indeed loons, but I'm not one of them. I think you just see me as a dire threat to your own worldviews.
A fundamentalist is someone who believes they are right and everyone else is wrong. Everyone who knows me and my work for the last 13 years, knows full well I have never stated or hinted to any such thing in the field of religion and spirituality. I am good friends with people who have a complete 180 belief system than me. But naturally, I DO believe what I believe, and have reasons for that, lol. That doesn't make me a fundie.
I don't have a problem with the site stating its opinion on me or anyone else, because that's freedom of speech. However, I do have an issue with the theft of my blogs and the slandering of my name. In the US, as soon as you write something, it's copyrighted to you. Someone can certainly respond, critique or parody it, but they cannot directly copy it without your permission. And it's 100% illegal to edit someone's words, or not include the whole of it, so that you can make them appear to be something they're not.
I'm not the only one who has come out against this site either. Others online are advocating for its removal. Stealing my posts isn’t the punch to the gut you think it is. It’s actually just free promotion generally. But if you prove yourself guilty of defamation, which you have at certain times, I would be open to joining some kind of class action to get you removed from the internet or pay for damages. I make ad revenue from my website, and by stealing my stuff, not only do you violate my copyrights, you cost me money. And by posting libelous information about me, you defame my character, which is also suable.
Chris Aldridge.
