Feminists typically deny the agency of women. The current influence feminists have on western society is resulting in the codification of the denial of women's agency in law.

The UK has recently shifted the onus of proof for sexual offences involving a man and a woman. If a man and a woman have sex and the woman asserts that sex was not consensual then the onus of proof is placed on the man to prove that the sex was consensual.

Similarly in most jurisdictions if a boy and a girl have sex under the age of consent, the boy is held accountable. And this despite the widely held belief that girls mature faster than boys.

Feminism seeks to minimise women's agency so that it can be seen as the saviour of women. Researchers, even feminist researchers, are starting to talk about this more as can be seen from this quote in a recent research paper on child maltreatment (child abuse):

Child maltreatment is a difficult subject for feminists. The reality is that women commit a significant amount of CM However, as Marie Ashe and Naomi Cahn note, feminist theory does not adequately account for this fact. Joan-of-Arc feMRA

A Joan-of-Arc feMRA refers to a woman who claims to advocate for men and boys, but will only do so on the basis that she leads the charge and acts as men's official mouthpiece. Such women generally expect men to treat her with deference and big helpings of chivalry, and if needed, that men act as a ready army of gophers who will do research, web design, phone calls and a myriad of other tasks that she delegates to them. She does not tolerate men speaking in their own voice (i.e., not through her) unless she is interviewing them, and insists on controlling all matters related to policy and activism. Paradoxically, the Joan-of-Arc feMRA represents a mixture of gynocentrism, narcissism, and men's rights advocacy.

Joan-of-Arc feMRAs love the limelight and will take every opportunity to put a photo of themselves on prominent media pages, while declaring her self-importance in the role of 'Liberator Of Men'. Most Joan-of-Arc feMRAs will eventually fall out with the men they claim to represent when said men eventually call her out about her control issues, and she responds to the criticism like a raving termagant who spits the dummy and refuses to support men any more. A few Joan-of-Arc feMRAs will remain in their role for quite some time due to the fact that they're female and men (even in the Men's Movement) will fall over backwards just for the opportunity to please her, ignoring the signs that she is more hateful than helpful. Said supporters will also attack anyone who dare suggest that she is anything less than the savior they perceive her to be.

Fortunately, and mercifully, not all feMRAs are like that.

A Gynowife refers to a woman who adheres to either the traditional gynocentric role (#Tradwife-2) and expects her husband to adhere to a gynocentric perspective, or alternatively to the modern feminist insistence that wives should dominate and set the tempo of all relationship matters and the men should simply fall into line instead of mansplaining etc. Whether of the traditionalist or feminist variety, the Gynowife implies a Gynohusband who sacrifices a significant amount of his own self-interest in service to his wife's interests, needs and comfort. By way of contrast, Tradhusbands and Modhusbands don’t defer to wives on all matters – they retain some agency in the service of their own welfare and interests.

A Traditional gynocentrist is a shorthand phrase for men or women displaying any of a wide range of traditional gynocentric attitudes and/or behaviours, and to those who advocate such behaviours. A famous example of this type is Phyllis Schlafly who shunned feminist gynocentrism in favour of the benefits of traditional gynocentrism. The phrase is sometimes referred to by alternative phrases such as Antifeminist gynocentrist, Gynocentric traditionalist, Nonfeminist gynocentrist, or simply Tradgyn, which is a portmanteau of traditionalist and gynocentrist.

Many tradgyns today will identify as anti-feminist. In many cases this should be considered an honest assessment.

Anti-feminism is split between tradgyns and those seeking a new path forward like MRAs. On learning of the men's rights movement many tradgyns are often initially supportive. Once they learn more about it and recognise that MRAs wholly reject gynocentrism many tradgyns become hostile to the movement.

MRAs often suggest that traditonal gynocentrists are telling men to go back to the plantation.

Tradgyns can be distinguished from a Non-gynocentric traditionalist who advocates non-gynocentric aspects of historical tradition.

Within the manosphere the phrase go back to the plantation is a metaphor that implies that shaming men in to traditional gynocentric behaviour is akin to forcing slaves back on to a plantation. Figures like Jordan Peterson, Christina Hoff Sommers & Camille Paglia often tell men to go back to the plantation while the men's rights movement proposes a new path forward.

These days you don't need to look far to see negativity focused at men. Casual misandry permeates western civilisation where many men and women commonly make negative statements about men without regarding this as a problem or being challenged by anyone present. Negative and inaccurate portrayals of men and boys have permeated mainstream media and online knowledge repositories such as Wikipedia, where the bias is particularly evident. Wikipedia editors routinely write negative commentaries about men and Wikipedia admins protect those commentaries while censoring counter-narratives that might show less biased, more accurate information. This practice is reinforced by feminist editing gangs who congregate in regular 'edit-a-thons' with the sole purpose of increasing feminist ideology within Wikipedia articles, and to censor male-positive discourse and research on men. In a nutshell those in control of Wikipedia have succeeded in deplatforming much reliable information about men and boys.
