I believe in both God and Satan and either of these individuals have the ability to manufacture evidence for their own reasons. Satan will do it because he is a deceiver and God will do it to test the hearts of each and everyone of us. Both of them are far more intelligent than I am and could trick me easily therefore I consider any story of the past to be fiction. I am a lot more confident of recent history and I know the arguments historian have over that.

Hehehe, gotta love the christian double standard. If it's Satan, it's because he's a "deceiver". If it's God, it's because he's trying to "test the hearts of each and every one of us". Six of one, half a dozen of the other award?

Oh, Kerwin, why do you people keep insisting that the answer to everything is "Goddidit!" or "Satandidit!"? You have no proof. You have no evidence. You have no reason to believe at all, and yet, in the face of all logic, you stubbornly insist on it.
Right, so when satan manufactures fake evidence, it is to deceive, whereas god is doubleplus good and when he fakes stuff, it's to test the believers. That's really convenient isn't it?

The historians now say we´re facing a possible new ice age but you choose not to believe not to look modern(even though you use this computer as if its existance were Gospel truth). And if God plays with us to "test" us, he´s a deceiver anyway, the same with Satan. Try something better.

You know, the more they describe their versions of god and satan, the more similar they would appear to be in potency - both can apparently control minds, in thousands of years neither has completely defeated the other, both can control reality to some degree. The only difference seems to be that god frequently advocates genocide and prejudice, and enforces myriad contradictory rules, many of which seem petty, unenforcable and to serve no useful purpose (shellfish, thinking about your hot neighbour and mixed fibres, anyone?) whereas satan has not, to my knowledge, been recorded in the bible to advocate anything specific at all to people (apart from Jesus from time to time, of course). Oh, and in Job, satan apparently gets one over on the big guy.

wait a second..you have god and satan doing the same thing..yet you make satan look negative by calling him a "deceiver", but god is only a "tester". Actually you make god look very unatractive as well..almost like a prankster god.
So let me get this straight, satan will try to trick you to turn you away from god, and god will try to trick you to "test you faith", and god(read: all-powerful DICK) wont stop satan from tricking you. but if you FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON turn away from god, you burn in agony for all eternity? god sure has a heck of a pr department. i can see the meetings now: "hold them hostage! then they'll HAVE to worship you1". its not like GAWD could do something to make life better for his creations.
