Ever and always, in large part because they see the utmost foundation of Reality itself as Strong persecutes Weak—and no two entities are exactly the same strength, so there is no real interaction but persecution.
Dustin Hoffman later starred in "Marathon Man": featuring a vile Nazi, Szell. A couple of years later, the latter actor was in "The Boys From Brazil", in which he was a hunter of vile Nazis: in this instance, Josef Mengele.
Said actor played an important morale-boosting role in a screen adaptation of Shakespeare's "Henry V" - with that classic rendition by him of the 'St. Crispin's Day' speech - in 1944. A few decades later, he narrated what is acknowledged as the definitive WWII documentary series "The World at War". Your 'argument' can be summed up by the three words spoken to Hoffman by Sir Laurence Olivier in that film:
