The balloon that was recently shot down didn’t release any EMPs.

That would only work if the previous authors who contributed to THE LAW OF WAR MANUAL participated, at least to sign off on Trump’s Group’s Changes.
Unlikely to have been done in secret. They’d want everyone to know that you can only invade countries if they’re non-christain or oil-producing.

And how well can they control where it goes off? You got one balloon, one pulse, one city… Then after that act of war you get the entire response? This is more of a ‘fuck around and find out’ scenario, not an attack.

There would have been an orbital - thus making 'Balloons' obsolete - EMP weapon up there by now if it was.

So it was obvious that this event was to be weaponized by the far-right. Republicans complained saying that it should have been shot over land. They then blamed Biden for not promoting panic before it was dealt with. Yet they did nothing when similar events happened before, at the same time denying that those events happened. Another sensible approach would have been deviation and recovery before destruction, but this seemed to not be feasible in this case. In any event, int can still be gathered with the remains. Apparently various countries have revised their use of balloons for int purposes making the spy-balloon claim rather credible. It may also allow better handling of such future events if they were less of a surprise. Some information suggests that electronic monitoring was enough to determine the purpose before it was shot, other than the route, but I'm not sure, what is available to the public is also slim.

In any case, Savin's history of nonsense and bullshit promotion is acknowledged. Not a credible source of information for anything.
