This is disingenuous and insulting. We aren't stupid. You say this is an issue of science versus "belief." This is an unfortunate arrogance in the medical community. The actual tragedies that parents are EXPERIENCING is dismissed as hillbilly superstition. So, so, sad.

Something is happening to a small percentage of children who get vaccinations and doctors need to start caring about them. And, some would argue that the percentage is not that small. And, it may not be Autism, but it is sure as hell something.

It is hillbilly superstition. And peddled to those who have hillbilly superstition.

The unfortunate arrogance is all on the anti-vaxxers’ side.

A small percentage of children having side-effects from vaccinations, is much less horrible than it would have been without vaccinations. About one million children would have died per year, of Measles alone, if the MMR vaccination hadn’t been wide-spread from year 2000.

Well we call it what it is, hillbilly superstition. Each time i read about some kid dying from “vaccine complications” turned out that the kid died from either an unrelated reason or on their parents fault. So, lets not do what you want, lets do something completely different: Look much, much closer into the parents of those children with “vaccine complications” and check one case after another, like we do with any suspected child abuse.

I had vaccine complications as a kid....the injection site was res and inflamed for a few days.

Yes, and no. A small percentage of people do have complications, but the doctors DO care about them. The ones with actual complications, or for whom vaccinations are contraindicated.
And BECAUSE they care for those who can't get vaccinated, they want everyone ELSE to be vaccinated. For the herd immunity benefit to those unshielded few.

But while there are some solid reasons for some people not to be vaccinated, the vast majority of the antivax movement is motivated by hillbilly superstition.
