Why Is there a General Aversion Against Trannies?

Because on the whole, average, collective, individual level, deep down inside they are deceitful people. Society do not make trannies deceitful, it is who they are. Deceitful people have latched on to tranny-ism (an ideology created in order for deceit to prosper) because it gives them cover.
Trust your instincts. It is not about expression, rebellion, transgression, etc. It is about a group of horrible and to the bone sociopaths creating a socially and lawfully means to practice their deceit.

If I didn’t consider them so fundamentally monstrous, I would feel sorry for them.

On the Pick TV channel, there is the documentary series "Ladyboys", about British men who have found relationships with Transgender people in the Far East (mainly Thailand).

PROTIP: 'Pick TV' is a digital Freeview subsidiary of satellite/cable Sky TV. Pick TV's "Ladyboys" is a documentary series which covers this sensitive issue in a very sympathetic, nay, positive way.

Sky TV is a part of News International, owned by Rupert Murdoch; a major subsidiary of NI is Fox TV. Faux News is a subsidiary of Fox TV (part of 20th Century Fox).

More of this radfem nonesense. It's like she can't stand the fact that there are groups other than women who can qualify as sexual minorities. Not to mention that transexuality gives the lie to radfem notions that sexuality is just a construct. Lady, when your ideology fails to account for reality, it doesn't mean that reality is wrong.

As to whether a transwoman can "truly understand" women's struggles? Who gives a damn. Seriously being a woman (or a man) doesn't entail having to have all the same experiences or sharing the same ideology and opinions. It's about what genetalia you have. You may not be a "mean spirited bitch" like the OP, but congratulations on being sexist anyway.

Kitty Bendover here had better not watch the anime series "Ouran High School Host Club", if she knows what's good for her.

I mean... just the whole underlying theme of Gender Politics is the least of her problems. There's also the little matter of the main character Haruhi Fujioka having no problem with gender identity (her being completely comfortable in male clothing; both her initial 'Harry Potter'-esque look, and the male school uniform, for the Host Club). And as for her father...!

Then there's episodes 22 & 23, re. Casanova... er, I mean Kasanoda, the heir to a huge & vicious Yakuza clan, and Haruhi...! >:D X3

If you consider pants to be men's clothing, then aren't most women "trannies? I know I'm wearing pants right now, without the required equipment inside them.

I have never thought about transvestites as deceitful. Basically, I have seldom thought about transvestites, full stop. If they like to dress up in the opposite gender's clothes, what's that to me? Go ahead; I neither mind nor care.

Woops, I thought about the wrong kind of tranny, apparently. But my response is fairly similar.
Kitty, dearie, they ARE trusting their instincts, stupid. If you feel that you are born in a wrong-gendered body, then you have every right to live like the gender you feel like and, if you want to, have hormonal treatments and operations to "correct" your body. It's of little or no importance to me as I'm not affected, so it's not up to me to decide about other people's lives.

@Swede: I'm very keenly aware that this is clearly off-topic, but I'm merely remarking that with regards to "If you consider pants to be men's clothing, then aren't most women "trannies?" male clothing is really androgynous / unisex clothing. I wouldn't consider it deceitful either, nor plunge into a long discussion of the motivations thereof despite personally knowing a few.

Perhaps it is because transexualism is more explicitly a choice than homosexuality (in a sense that you need gender reassignment) that Kitty Glendower would choose to tag onto it: no evidence that homosexuality / bisexuality is biological vs. need to remove / add sexual organs as necessary for reassignment that the appeal to nature is made more salient.

@Cloning Blues: Not that I'm agreeing with the OP at all, and I'll admit that I don't entirely agree with #1587431, but show me one transwoman who actually has a uterus and a set of ovaries, and who has had to suffer the monthly ordeal of menstruation. If somebody wants to undergo surgery to change their body because they don't feel that who they are inside matches up with what they have in their pants, that's fine. But I can still see how some women would be offended or put off by transwomen, who got to enjoy male privilege for years and then got to turn around and be a woman after that. It's like they get the best of both worlds.
I know, I know, transgendered people obviously face a lot of prejudice, and it's a struggle that makes life very difficult for them, but I can still sort of see where some of these other women are coming from with their trasphobia. I would like to know how they view F to M transsexuals, though; they probably see them as "traitors."
It would be nice if people could just be happy in their own skin and not get so wrapped up in gender stereotypes, but if it's important to someone to be one gender rather than the other, I have to respect that. But I can see why some people would take issue with it.
