I do believe you are mistaken in your response. the neuro-chemical process in the brain does not create anything. The eyes and ears does not create anything either. Our eyes and ears allow us to access what already exists. Likewise nothing is created by the brain. The brain provide access to something that already exist.

There are many drugs that will do to the brain what telescopes, etc does for the eye.

Srinivasa Ramanujan attended schools. He was educated. He just had an intuitive grasp of math in excess of the education he received. And in developing his math, he neglected the rest of his studies.

If his 'intuitive grasp' was just accessing math that already existed, why was it difficult for other mathematicians to understand his work? Wouldn't that have worked better, providing access to the math he'd found? If he 'brought it back' then simply presenting it to others should have been sufficient.

Uh, no. If we have some mental imbalances, either due to drugs or dementia, we see things that do NOT exist.
I was on wonderful painkillers when my gall bladder died. Are you seriously suggesting that the delusions i saw then were real? That somewhere in the 4th dimension, my abdominal organs are actually modular components like computer circuit cards? And that the surgery of this other place involves putting the double-wide liver module on an extender card to access the bladder?

Or that Swift did not create physically impossible creatures like the Lilliputians and Brobdingrags, but got a glimpse of somewhen where they actually exist?
Seems like 'made shit up' would be a far easier explanation for such things.

If imagination is not real, but rather merely visions from the realm of ideas/collective subconsciousness/dimension of drugs, how do you explain works of art and fantasy with a well-documented history of conception and conscious development, e.g. Tolkien’s Legendarium?

So does that mean that the likes of Star Wars, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, TLoR, One Piece, Bleach, DragonBall, etc. are not invented by sheer, overflowing creativity but rather experienced and brainlessly copied from their own existing realms? I don’t know what to think of that, tbh.

I mean, multiverse theory does state that it’s possible everything can exist in their own separate realm. Pretty sure Vulcans even call it “Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations”. But I somehow doubt the OP even understands that. And that’s even ignoring the nonsense that we somehow can not create, only copy, but others can, despite them also having “just” brains.

It does sound awesome though. Forget space travel, if we wish to leave this sinking ship full of nutjobs, idiots, and jerks one day, all we have to do is ~~invent~~, I mean, copy interdimensional travel and voila! The hardest thing to do will be to determine a desired destination…
