Eh, not really. People in Texas don't appear to like Ted Cruz any more than the rest of North America. His opponent's actually a Texan, unlike him, and he's actually held events and talked to people IN Texas, as well as had a barbecue event (so WTF Ted?).
The truth is, Ted hasn't actually HAD a good opponent in a while, and it appears he's entirely forgotten how to campaign. Or maybe it's because campaigning reminds people that he's an odious piece of shit who doesn't deserve to be elected Dog Catcher, much less a Texas senator? I understand the wish to make people stop taking you seriously by deliberately saying the most stupid things you can think of, but you're wasting your time. We (or at least I) already knew you were an idiot who has no fucking clue what he's talking about when you called equality a "threat to our liberty" more than three years ago, and the kinds of people who you want to convince of your incompetence are never going to stop eating up everything you say solely because you're a Republican.
