I nearly forgot about this thread.
Here's another argument:
God cannot decide what objective morality is, or else it would be arbitrary.
Objective morality thus cannot be created by God.
If God cannot create objective morality and decide what is, then neither can evolution, as God can create evolution.
Objective morality exists.
Thus objective morality is eternal.
Objective morality takes a perception to see.
Thus an eternal being who perceives objective morality always existed.

There is NO objective morality - it is ALL subjective.
Where your bronze-age goat herders found it morally repugnant to eat shellfish or to sell their daughters, today we laugh at those and just shake our heads. Morals change with time, place and people.
Somebody failed their basic logic course. Since others have dealt with the objective morality issue, I'll just point out that evolution has no morality whatsoever, objective or subjective. It is blind, has no plan, and never ends.
It almost makes some sense.....except what the hell does evolution have to with it? Evolution cannot create morality? Who said it can?
And I dont get the last one either...couldn't objective morality exist, in its abstract, non-tangible way, without any sort of God having to perceive it? And it kind of flies in the face of the 'God as first cause' argument that theists sometimes use anyway, if there's something that exists that God did not create.
An omnipotent being would be able to change the objective morality.
Therefore, no being--not even this eternal one--is omnipotent.
If God cannot create objective morality and decide what is, then neither can evolution
Evolution can't create or decide anything. It's just a scientific explanation of life forms changing over time. You're the ones trying to make it into a religion.
Objective morality exists.
Prove it. Even among Christians morality changes. For example, drinking alcohol is considered immoral by Baptists, but Catholics are OK with it.
"Objective morality takes a perception to see."
Well, yes. Nothing can be perceived without being perceived. Thank you, Captain Tautology!
"Thus an eternal being who perceives objective morality always existed."
Does not follow. Just because something is not observed does not mean it doesn't exist. There are many things in this universe that have never been seen. That doesn't mean they don't exist, just that we don't know about them.
That, combined with "God didn't create objective morality/God cannot create objective morality" from the beginning, one is forced to ask:
What exactly is the point of your god, then?
"If God cannot create objective morality and decide what is, then neither can evolution, as God can create evolution."
If humans cannot fly, than neither can aeoroplanes, as humans can create aeroplanes. If humans cannot create steel, then neither can furnaces, as humans can create furnaces.
"Thus objective morality is eternal."
Or maybe objective morality is a set of constants of the universe, and hypothetical other universes follow different morals that, within the universe, are objective fact.
"Objective morality takes a perception to see."
If something is objective, its truth is independent from the observer.
"Thus an eternal being who perceives objective morality always existed."
Even if that was true, why would such an entity demand the worship of mortals? And why would it be a deity? It might actually be incapable of doing anything but observe.
Abraham & Isaac. Therefore your 'God' LIED.
Your 'God' hardening pharaoh's heart. Therefore there is no such thing as 'Free Will'.
Hosea 13:16. Therefore your 'God' has no morals. And the 'Pro-Life' cause of you fundies is destroyed.
We Atheists can be good and decent to our fellow human beings, because we can . Also, Jonathan Edwards.
There. I've just proved that your 'God' doesn't exist. NEXT!
I think some pieces of this particular jigsaw puzzle are missing... and others may be from other puzzles. Unless that tree is supposed to be lapping from a saucer.
Can we introduce this guy to WGC? We could use the endless circling of their 'debate' to run turbines. Turbines that could power the entire world! Turbines powerful enough to do all the stuff the HAARP LHC secret fusion device does!!! MWAHAHAHAHA....
Sorry, just came from CSTDT.

I think the cats would take exception.

Only drinking where there're Baptist witnesses.
(As someone baptized Baptist [where I learned this one :)]) There's a reason you bring 2 Baptists with you when you go fishing. If you bring one, they'll drink all your beer. Bring 2, they won't touch a drop.

"Are you saying that God has...well...a god?"

Even Princess Celestia - the equine analogue of ancient Egypt's Amun-Ra/the 'Aten' - had a creator: Fausticorn, a.k.a. 'Mother'. [/John Joseco]
Thus, MysticShite: as you and I have a mother & father, all sentient beings have to have an origin. No Exceptions.
...and Celestia - unlike your so-called 'God of unconditional Love' (I refer you to Hosea 13:16), o fundies - is Omnibenevolent . [/Invisible Pink Unicorn]
- Fair enough, I guess, but we still haven't established that objective morality even exists.
- I guess that follows.
- Irrelevant.
- Not established.
- Proceeds from dubious premise.
- Demonstrably false. The fact that different people at different times can't figure out what "objective morality" is exactly (and no, the Bible doesn't offer the clear guide that you seem to think it does) proves that we can't "objectively" perceive morality.
- Wait, did you just admit that God and morality are two different things?
And black is white, and tall is short, and.....
When you start with bad premises, you have no chance of success in succeeding arguments. First you have to establish "god", and no, you cannot use god to prove "god". Don't be silly.
Wow. Even when they acknowledge the primary & ultimately fatal flaw in declaring a single being's preferences -- SHIFTING preferences, at that -- "objective", they STILL insist on it somehow being the case.
There is objective morality, there's literally thousands of them. This is the William Laing Craig con that somehow the western worlds legal and societal makeup isn't just Biblical but must be of the Biblical God. Yet hundreds of concepts, standards and legal precedents fly heavy in the face of scriptures.
There is NOTHING to support the Bibles values being the democratic template.
Jeffery Dahmer had a cannibalistic objective morality
Gengis Khan had a conquer the East objective morality

Let us assume that green cheese is made of green cheese.
Let us also assume that green cheese is, by definition, green.
Under the right conditions, the moon can appear to be green.
Perforce the moon is made of green cheese.
Therefore colourless green ideas sleep furiously.
Confused?
