Autism is a fake disability that involves people living off the government dole. Many atheists have it, including those on liberal tabloids like Irrationalwiki and Fundies Say the Darndest Things. A synonym for autism is workshyness.

I am an autist, though in a relatively mild form (Asperger's Syndrome) (U also have ADHD, which I presume you also consider a "fake disability"), and no, it is nothing fake about it. My mind literally works differently from the neurotypical mind, and some of these differences, particularly those diminishing the ability to understand the complicated social rules other people live by, have a significant negative impact on how I functon within society.
Also, autism has absolutely nothing to do with "workshyness".
Autist myself here (aspie to be precise), f*ck off Steven Arse. I have enough issues as it is (even to this day) because of ignorant a*holes in my youth just not understanding what it means to be autistic. Hell, even to this day I've been insulted for a "robot" because people think I don't have emotions or empathy, simply because I don't express them as overt as regular people. It really hurts because I'm very empathic, more than I'm even comfortable with.
Like Pharaoh said, my brain and mind simply work different than that of "regular" people. To quote an apt analogy, just because a Playstation cannot read Xbox discs does not mean either of them are broken. They just work differently.
Seriously, can someone please explain to me why so many nutjobs quoted here hate autism that much? I mean, what have we ever done to offend them so much by merely existing? Aside from the fact that we're very rational by nature (while they, well, aren't) that is.

1. Incels and similar arseholes like to claim autism, usually "self-diagnosed", so they can blame it for their arseholery that is totally actually just unintentional insensitivity they have no control over.
2. We're different.
3. Sonichu .
Atheist here, I hang a lot at FSTDT, and have visited Rational Wiki. Not liberal, but socialist. Not autist. Have been working full-time almost always, since I graduated at 19, so hardly workshyness either.
The ones I know with aspergers work very hard to try to adapt to non-autist ways, AND most of them have a full-time job as well.
The one spreading irrationality is you, Stevie-boy.
Christianism is a real disability that involves not knowing the definition of words.
A synonym for christianism is pulling shit out of your ass.

They've always hated autists, it's just that now they have a name for it.
Sorry but autism is very real and the reason why 85% of autistic people are out of work (or get work but have to quit after a few weeks or months) is due to a mixture of general ignorance on the part of employers, sensory overload caused by noisy workplaces and difficulty in communication for many. (Job interviews can be a huge obstacle into work if your voice doesn't sound right).
If anything austistic people tend to be 80% work and 20% socialization but most workplaces prefer those who are the other way around.
And in Britain? A lot of autistic people can't find work due to sanctions culture. It causes functioning levels to go down.
Autism covers a wide spectrum ranging from difficulty processing social cues and communicating to the debilitating. Typically speaking even in countries that aren't so fundamentally opposed to welfare as the United States is autism only qualifies you to "live off the government dole" if it's so serious that there are genuine concerns you cannot take care of yourself such as an inability to prepare your own meals or even just remember to eat, bathe, etc. without prompting. The wide majority of people with autism work. For some it could even be seen as a benefit to the performance of their job having a different rationale and reaction to repetition than their co-workers but most others struggle through the day with tasks others find trivial with little sympathy from the ignorant. From the likes of you they get active antipathy and completely dishonest slander that goes past simple ignorance into genuine malice.
So much for that Christian love...
Careful, Steven Arse...:

...your The FAIL Jimmy Wilcum is showing.
The speck of a slur used & pointed out by that with the Giant Sequoia in it's eye of now proven Schizophrenia .
It was proven that The FAIL Jimmy Wilcum (a.k.a. 'Elvis is King' on RationalWiki) = Billy Grimy after all.
Hypocrisy is a factual disability that involves fundie Christains living off the government dole of Tax Exemption.
A sin onym for fundieism is hypocrisy .
Also Ignorance of the worst kind imaginable. Someone on the spectrum can look at a building at different angles for a few minutes, then draw such in precise detail purely from memory.
Stephen Wiltshire - who makes a decent income by doing commissions for major companies of their HQs/corporate premises for their boardrooms etc - who was awarded an MBE and is an honorary Fellow of the Society of Architectural Illustration - would like a word with you.
There is a synonym - and it's more-than impossible for it to be a slur - for now proven ignorant & hypocritical fundie Christains like you Jimbo... er, I mean 'Steven': Retard.

Sanctions culture is a Job Centre practice of cutting off people's benefits for weeks at a time. The reasons given are usually petty and fairly minor. These include being five minutes late to a meeting with a work coach, having bad handwriting (this happened to my brother, despite them knowing about his dyslexia), going on courses that "take away from job seeking time" (also happened to my brother), refusing to go on courses that take up job seeking time, being too ill to attend meetings, refusing to take on a second or third job (because the work you already do doesn't cover your bills), and (the most devious) failing to turn up to a meeting after the Job Centre "accidently" sends out a letter about it five days after it's passed.
Essentially, sanctions culture is all about making the process of looking for a job and claiming job seeker's allowance as unpleasant as possible because apparently there are jobs springing up everywhere for just about everyone.
RationalWiki has some gag pages, some of which seem immature, or involve bizarre inside jokes. Even their serious pages are occasionally self-depreciating or contain minor jabs at Wikipedia. So I wouldn't be surprised if anyone considered it to be a questionable source of information.
They do have a pro-atheist, anti-conspiracy, anti-pseudoscience bias, at least as far as those things can be said to be a bias. No evidence that I've seen that they're heavily "autistic", but given that their gag pages can be pretty jerkish to religious people, It's not surprising if a highly religious person whose only concept of "autistic" is self-diagnosed antisocials might think so.
And if they'd think that of RW, then they'd think worse of FSTDT.
Ah, so now he's just outright denying medical facts. Yep, typical fundie: if you don't like verifiable reality, claim that it's fake.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
