@_synchrophasotron Way to take a statement out of context. He’s saying historically it is a good example on the reasoning behind why they didn’t have rights. He’s not saying he condones slavery. Sensitive.

These people don’t understand the difference between a woman choosing to get pregnant by insemination or whatever method and not “having a man in her life” and the man leaving her and the child.

While her choice may be difficult in some ways, the kid will grow up knowing they are loved and worth loving. They’ll very likely know they weren’t abandoned by one of their parents, but that mom chose to go this route and have a child without dealing with a relationship. Therefore, this can’t be a broken home as these dudes are of course choosing to call it. All the original pieces are still there and still attached.

Of course these dudes don’t understand this, and even if they do understand, they refuse to admit it to themselves. Being in a relationship is usually far more beneficial for them than it is for a woman, even though they pretend it’s the other way around. Because let’s face it, the dudes in this comment section, whining about the choices of women they don’t know and never will, are not the ones who commit to doing their share of the housework. They’re the ones who spend their pay checks on drinking with their buddies or video game consoles then whine about “women taking all my money for worthless things”… and lots of times the worthless things are clothes and other items that the kids need. These are the dudes who whine about having to spend time with their own children as if they’re someone else’s.

These guys are just angry that women now have choices. We don’t have to marry these assholes anymore and then spend the rest of our lives miserably taking care of their spoiled asses. So of course they want to legislate our rights away. They had it so good for so long and now they have to deal with their own garbage and it stinks… but thankfully not for us anymore!
