I realize that some people think to be ethical, we should ignore the activity of what others are doing in the churches. I think that is an irresponsible attitude amongst believers. To say nothing about evil which has crept into the churches is akin to hobnobbing with the enemy during a war. Could you imagine being a soldier in World War II, fighting as an American against the invading communists from the north to defend Korea? And while fighting one of your peer soldiers is going around selling BB guns, convincing many soldiers to trade in their powerful M16 rifle for a child's play BB gun instead? What do you think those fighting soldiers would do? I'll tell you, they'd keep using their M16's to fight the enemy, and warn the other soldiers, because they know that a BB gun is worthless on the battlefield. Likewise, these modern paraphrases are so watered-down, doctrinally deficient, corrupt and horribly wrong on salvation. We've got a bunch of BB guns in our churches instead of the quick and powerful inspired Words of God. Someone needs to care and expose all this evil. God is recruiting! Will you join the battle my friend, as a soldier for Jesus Christ (2nd Timothy 2:3-4)?

As long as you guys keep arguing amongst Christains about who is the REAL Christain, it's all to the good for the rest of us. Beat that theology, demonize any who differ, alienate anyone who might have come t your aid or offered you community.

Yes, those fighting soldiers would say: “wow, why are we here 6 years too early? - wrong war.”

And don’t everyone forget, WWII soldiers in Korea wouldn’t be trading in their M16s for BB guns. They’d be trading in their M1s. (Either in WWII, or the Korean Conflict.) The M-16 wasn’t introduced until 1964, more than a decade after either action. So it’s not only a geopolitical history fail, it’s a technology history fail as well.

Note: I did have to look up the exact year the M16 entered service, but I did know already it was beginning to see release early in the US involvement in Vietnam, which was the 1960s, well after WWII or Korean Conflict.

Also note: Davey, if he reads this, will tell us that’s completely irrelevant to his point, while completely ignoring that his ignorance about this is only one in a long line of his ignorance about everything.

At this point, DJS is just a little removed from actually becoming a church shooter methinks. As if he wasn’t batshit crazy enough…

2- The M-16 wasn't used until the later Vietnam War

I read or heard that many soldiers in wars deliberately miss when they shoot their weapons, that it’s seldom as easy to kill someone as people imagine. Quite a few might WANT the BB guns instead, so they couldn’t hit the “enemy”.

Yeah, these modern paraphrases, like the aforementioned QUEEN James version, are a bit watered down. Beautiful language, yes, but the content is corrupted.

I hope there is never a shooting at the Harvest Baptist Church in Guam.

And while fighting one of your peer soldiers is going around selling Nintendo light guns, convincing many soldiers to trade in their powerful phased plasma rifle for a child's play Zapper instead? What do you think those fighting soldiers would do? I'll tell you, they'd keep using their plasma rifles to fight the enemy, and warn the other soldiers, because they know that a Zapper is worthless on the battlefield.
