You are so wrong on every front. Not one thing you said is correct. YOU are trying to push an atheist propaganda. This country was founded on freedom of religion- the freedom to practice and display your beliefs. It is only modern day atheists that try to remove religion- but yet I find it extremely interesting that the people who don't believe in God and practice no religion are always pushing their agenda in the religion section of papers. Atheism is it's own religion- instead of God you worship money, fame, and yourselves. Just get over it and stop trying to bully Christians, it didn't work for the Romans for that long and it won't work for you. This world has been influenced by Christians for over 2000 years. You can try to attack us, but it will only make us stronger in the long run.

Yes, and you have the freedom to practise and display your beliefs. On your property you can pray 24/7, you can erect a cross as big as you like (or as big as zoning laws will allow) you can build a Buddha statue, a shrine to Ganesh or whatever manner of hokum that helps you sleep at night.

However, the establishment clause means that you can't do any of those things on PUBLIC property, because public property belongs to everybody and the government isn't allowed to have one religion favoured over the thousands of others. Unless you want verses from the Koran displayed alongside passages from the Vedas or the Pali Canon in schools, I'd suggest you profit from the establishment clause just as much as atheists do.

Yes, atheists worship themselves. That's why there are so many atheist televangelists living in mansions on the donations of the faithful and the single richest and most influential man on Earth is an atheist who lies in the Vatican under a big gold hat.

Atheism deals with religion. Where else would their opinions be published?

Atheism is, by definition, not a religion. I, personally, worship none of those things.

Actually, it was working quite well for the Romans up until the State became Christian. Oddly enough, not long after that the Empire fell.

Yes. It has. And it has been influenced by Hindus for, possibly, 6,000 years. Jews have been influencing things for 4,000 years. Pagans were influencing the world before all of you.

You should look at the religious polls they do occasionally. Not only is Islam growing faster than Christianity, those who state they are "spiritual, but not religious" or simply of "no religion" are also growing in numbers.

...objected to Christians refusing to participate in the public practice of religion with everyone else; Roman understanding of piety didn't allow for that kind of exclusivism, and so an unwillingness to do the normal state rituals with everyone else in addition to personally following Jehovah was seen as weird, creepy, and antisocial. (Jews had a special legal dispensation as a nation, and reasonable control points via treaty and imperial presence in Jerusalem.)

Thus the Christians were classed as an illegal mystery cult of potential terrorists, and punished when caught being that.

Then Constantine, a very pious man who had a history with Apollo, had a vision during civil war, won the war, converted to some degree and reformulated the state /religio/ in favor of a monotheistic one that would allow him to dominate the state religion completely. His sincerity and reasoning are mysteries for the ages, but it actually worked pretty damn well. Christianity is a really well-engineered meme that pushes a lot of emotional buttons, and the Christian Eastern Empire, which was more fortunate in its rulers, held together for another millenium and change.

The Christians in that time and beyond proceeded to persecute everybody else by means up to and including slaughter. Except the Jews, who got special treatment most of the time for various reasons both civil and religious. The reason you are bringing up the second-century Roman state here is because that is the last time you were friggin' persecuted. Since then you have become the Romans, and your desired treatment of atheism is nearly identical to the Roman reasoning for outlawing Christianity. Except you don't have the law on your side anymore. Egalitarianism fuck yeah.

(There have been and still are persecuted Christian minorities outside the geographic bounds of Christendom since, but they are not part of kiksar's cultural heritage, and I doubt she's aware of most of them.)

Shout-out to the dumbasses who keep linking the conversion of the empire to its decline: you are ignoring causality in favor of a sloppy application of post hoc ergo propter hoc; the empire had been declining for a while by then, and took a while longer to finish, even in the West.
