I did twenty years in the military, so _I_ think I’m a patriot, but I am aware that the President is draft-dodging, felony-convicted, child-raping, wife-cheating, pathological liar with dementia, who keeps his diaper bag closer than the Football, so that’s probably seven or eight kinds of communist to you.
As no-one’s managed to successfully ‘do’ communism without killing loads and loads of people, this is probably true.
However, the fact that the White House felt the need to say this - presumably about US Americans, as if communism was actually even significant in the USA - suggests that they have a loose definition of ‘communist’, probably meaning ‘someone who doesn’t like Mr Trump’.

Eh, there were a couple commie countries which were no worse than what the US was doing domestically to their citizens tbh. Not saying these were great in and of themselves(though I’d be mighty cool with a some socialist authoritarianism in exchange for housing as a right but it’s a personal opinion of mine) but for every strike they have put down with violence, there was at least one in the States that got the same response, specially if it was hippies/POC.
Course it has no bearing on what these cretins say, they just mean social democrat and that system has been working swimmingly in quite a couple countries till today without a glitch.
