If abortion is banned, one generation will complain about it. But the next one will think it's normal and probably question what our generation was thinking... like slavery.

The current generation is just a reflection of what it was raised in. So once it passes, the vitriol will be gone.

The next generation will take responsibility on pregnancy as they will think it is normal. Of course there will always be exceptions and fringe political opinions.

Bullfuckingshit. There are still people defending slavery, though they’ve never owned anyone or known anyone owned. there are people demanding slavery return. And there are people still upset about slavery, about the Constitution’s allowing of slavery, about the North’s slow action on slavery.
Human memory exceeds our direct experience. Since people will still want and get abortions even when they’re legal, the vitriol will increase with EVERY UNNECESSARY DEATH you FUCKING ASSHOLES.

Of course not. It's not because it was often undefined legally, legal or illegal in the past that it prevented abortions. What varied is if it could be done safely, if it needed to be hidden, or if people were persecuted in relation to it. Women's rights also varied over time. Sure, there are places and times where the subjugation of women is institutionalized. It doesn't make it right, that's why there always will be people fighting for human rights.

Well, the next generation is likely to be a lot bigger than you anticipate, thanks to the number of unwanted babies that will now be born. Hope you don’t object to paying for the increased costs: more welfare for single mothers, higher child-care costs, more overcrowded classrooms, decreases in available housing, fewer job opportunities, etc.

If this was true, how did abortion ever become legal? Why did people in the past campaign for it in the first place?

That’s assuming this stays as is, as I’ve made clear on Discord, there’s a good chance we’re seeing the prelude to a second civil war (which I’m sure the Left/Liberals/non-far-right will win and likely reverse (and cleared out) all far-right decision up to that point)

The next generation will probably call for more effective methods of birth control and unrestricted abortion access as the reasons to have children and the resources needed to give them a good life keeps growing thinner and thinner. They will probably look at us and wonder how evil people must have been to demand children born into an increasingly chaotic and unstable world, even from people who don't want them.

Maybe some of them will compare force-birth folks to model-set obsessed kids who thought it was the building that was fun.
The finished model was of little, if any, interest to them.
