(Coulter's tribute to Jerry Falwell)
No man in the last century better illustrated Jesus' warning that "All men will hate you because of me" than the Rev. Jerry Falwell, who left this world on Tuesday. Separately, no man better illustrates my warning that it doesn't pay to be nice to liberals.
Falwell was a perfected Christian. He exuded Christian love for all men, hating sin while loving sinners. This is as opposed to liberals, who just love sinners. Like Christ ministering to prostitutes, Falwell regularly left the safe confines of his church to show up in such benighted venues as CNN.
He was such a good Christian that back when we used to be on TV together during Clinton's impeachment, I sometimes wanted to say to him, "Step aside, reverend -- let the mean girl handle this one." (Why, that guy probably prayed for Clinton!)
For putting Christ above everything -- even the opportunity to make a humiliating joke about Clinton -- Falwell is known as "controversial." Nothing is ever as "controversial" as yammering about Scripture as if, you know, it's the word of God or something.

How telling is it that she implies that she, personally, would rather "make a humiliating joke about Clinton" than put "Christ above everything." Guess that makes you a pretty shitty Christian, doesn't it Ann?
Clinton was a far better man and President than our current war-profiteering, rich-person's ass-lick liar who kills Americans and Iraqis for his friends' profit sheets. Tinky-winky's bag was far less important than murder, famine, and war. Falwell was a joke who sold out his religion, his God, and his followers to spell GOD, G-O-P. He was every bit as mean-spirited as you Ann, he just hid it better, cause he didn't need the gimmick.

I'm sorry MAnn Coulter but I didn't hate Jerry Falwell because of Jesus. I have nothing against Jesus, he was an alright guy. MUCH less judgemental and hypocritical than the current crop of Fundie Fukwits who claim to speak on his behalf. In truth the "blessed art thou when all men hate you because of me" is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It doesn't necessary mean that just because people hate you the Jesus somehow approves of you. It just means you're a flaming asshole.

The truth hurts, doesn't it. Praetyre? Lying to start a war for profit, the facist "Patriot Act", putting the country on a "credit card" economy that the next guy will have to raise taxes to pay off(like Daddy's Bush's "read my lips tax" to straighten out the Reagan debt) and economic welfare for the rich has hurt this country a lot more than where Bill Clinton placed his penis!

Sorry Praetyre, Clinton got a far rawer deal from the media than Bush ever has. I want 1 million tax dollars back for the "mission accomplished" lie(it wasn't and still isn't 4 years later) photo-op from the RNC. I want my 48 million tax dollars back for an investigation into "investment fraud" turned into an investigation into a man's sex life. I want the pre-awarded war profiteering contracts (Bechtel, Haliburton, etc.) for a war fought under false prentenses (non-existent WMD's, non-existent terrorist involvement in 9/11) that's killing American soldiers and Iraqis investigated with the same vigor as Bill Clinton's dick was investigated with.PS I read Buzzflash for the left-wing, and Matt Drudge for the right-wing stuff, then try to sort it out after I've heard both slants. As a moderate-leaning Republican, I'd like to apologize for this...person's bile. I have no clue why my fellow Republicans let this women (and other's on the far-right) speak for us, but I do know that we aren't all like this.
Please,please, please, Oh Lord, call Anne up to heaven, she so desperately wants to be there and I can't imagine why you wouldn't want such a loyal servant to be right by your side for all eternity (cue sound of God retching at the thought).
And if you could see fit, Oh Lord, to have Anne leave this mortal world in a violent, bloody fashion, perhaps by, gee, I dunno, getting crushed by a steamroller or being fed into an industrial composter, I'd be eternally grateful. I might even start believing in you... But then again, if Anne Coulter Jerry Falwell are in Heaven, I'd probably prefer to take my chances in Hell, if it's all the same to you.

As far as I can remember, nowhere does Jesus say to any of the prostitutes you mention him ministering to "hey, stop being a prostitute". The idea that loving sinners consists just of claiming to love them while screaming about how evil they are at every opportunity is not at all supported by the gospels.
