Most people who "support" gays are actually opposed to it underneath, but dare not say anything for fear of being accused of ignorance, a typical leftist ploy. As a result their children are now going around espousing genuine feelings of toleration, simply because their parents were fearful that the child would repeat their "ignorant" words around school.
This is what I was talking about earlier, that social environment is the culprit behind homosexuality. The more tolerant our society becomes the more gays you are going to see, when before the influence of leftism you almost never heard about it. The few gays that ran around in the old days were raised in degenerate households.

Real talk? I’m as straight as they come and not attracted to other men at all. Yet despite that I have no hatred towards gay couples, even male ones. Heh, it’s almost as if who they love is none of my friggin’ business, nor is it my place to condemn something like that.
Do I prefer seeing lesbians kiss over homo’s? Sure, but I fail to see how that is relevant to anything so I don’t let such ridiculous feelings dictate my morals.
I'm a straight man who is pro-LGBT because they've done nothing to me personally: and they make the world just that little more Fabulous !
Someone else who is pro-LGBT is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who speaks at meetings of the Log Cabin Republicans: as he is a Republican .
Your move, OP.

Wulfram - another who lives IN A WORLD where if you don’t hear about it, whatever ‘it’ is, then it doesn’t happen or hardly ever happens.
With gays, that means there truly were far fewer of them back then, it wasn’t just that a great many stayed in the closet.
Plus, ‘leftism’ means ‘everything We dislike’.
I have an emotional reaction to the thought of homosexual activity. Same reaction I get when I'm exposed to heights, or spiders. I am probably homophobic in the basic, irrational, baseless fear, meaning of phobia.
But I am aware that it's my problem. It's my issue not theirs. I truly ""support" gays," as you put it, as much as I "support" anyone who wants to own a tarantula. I "support" bungee jumping, as long as I don't have to do it. Not my thing, but it doesn't actually hurt me in any way.
So, I think your 'most people' claim is just wishful thinking on your part.
Most people who support gays are simply supporting human rights. Not doing that is pretty ignorant, yes, and fewer for each year remain that ignorant.
Their children are now tolerant because their parents pretended to be tolerant; is that what you mean? Well then, their parents' pretense was rather useful.
Homosexuality is a natural variation on the sexual orientation scale, something that people are born with. The only thing that the social environment does, is accepting people for what they are, not a culprit but a benefactor. Yes, the more accepting the society is of people who diverge from the norm, the more open those people can be.
The few gays that "ran around in the old days" were killed, castrated, forced to marry someone of the opposite gender, or were treated like adolesents if they never married. The great Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf lived with a woman almost her whole adult life, but she was treated like a teenager during the Nobel dinner in honor of (among other) her Nobel Prize in 1909. "Married women first, Selma dearie", she was told when lining up to parade to the dinner. SHE was the Nobel Prize laureate, but married women were still higher in hierarchy!
Um, nope; no fear of needing to look tolerant over here: I just don't care.
And the probable reason we're seeing more gay people, beyond that they won't get their heads caved in when they peek out of the closet, is because the human race is in the midst of a population explosion. The more people there are, the more gay people there are.
I thought homophobia was stupid from about the same time I realized I was sexually attracted to women–about twelve. It became personal a decade or so later when I realized I had gay family members.
Eat a bag of shit, Tungsten.
Nope, I've been okay with gay people since my teens because it made no sense to be against them. My line of thinking back then was 'if being gay is inborn then it's wrong to discriminate and if it's a choice then it's their choice and their business, not mine."
Most people who "support" gays are actually opposed to it underneath, but dare not say anything for fear of being accused of ignorance, a typical leftist ploy.
No, but most people who claim to be Christians don’t actually believe any of it inside, but dare not say anything for fear of being accused of ignorance ad being called horrible names by other people, who themselves don’t really believe either.
As a result their children are now going around espousing genuine feelings of toleration
Oh, NO, how horrible!!!!
