The Republicans had to design the voting areas street by street, to have ANY kind of chance at getting close to the presidency.
No, it's never the left's fault. It's rich people luring ordinary workers to vote against their own interests. Ordinary workers have nothing to win by a Republican presidency, and hardly even anything to win by a Democrat presidency. They are both too right-wing to benefit ordinary workers.

@Citizen Justin from what I understand the Obama administration came to the Trump campaign with the knowledge of the Russian attack and that was his response.
Actually it's the other way around; Trump didn't receive any of the info Obama had until he became President-elect, after the election. Obama and his guys DID present everything they had to the main leaders of both parties in the House and Senate around that time, though, and it was Mitch McConnell, the Republican Majority Leader, who refused to allow anything related to Russia to be released before the election. He stated that if Obama mentioned ANYTHING, he'd start screaming about it being "a partisan attack on Donald Trump". And of course, this was coming from the man who claimed blocking Obama from filling the vacant Supreme Court seat was not partisan at all...
There is no unified Western left (or right, for that matter). I don't think forming such a thing would be possible. I mean, you have neoliberals, communists, anarcho-communists, libertarian leftists, Maoists/Third Worldists, Trotskyists, democratic socialists... if you tried unifying the left, it'd be like trying to capture a flock of birds with a bubble, man. You can't do it. You just can't.
