T[ea]CD is an acronym. It stands for TIMs Cannot Drive, which is a reference to the invalidation of trans identifying people’s driver’s licenses in Kansas this year. The invalidation happened overnight, so they couldn’t drive themselves to the DMV to get a replacement, which was a good idea. It’s clearly unsafe to allow someone to drive with a false gender marker. This raises the point I think jackie was trying to make: “if it’s unsafe to drive under a false gender marker, is it safe to date under one?” In short, this parent is not overreacting. If TIMs can’t be trusted to operate motor vehicles, they can’t date our sons. I’m not even sure if they should be allowed to use public transport. Maybe they can ride bicycles, so long as they are traditional bikes and not “e-bikes” (reminds me of e-cigs, not a fan)? Anyway, they definitely can’t date our children with or without a valid driver’s license.
