"Pagans" (aka LARPers, because pagan religious traditions were not written down, and modern cults are made up for the aesthetic) in the comments can't separate fact from fiction, that's probably why they worship evil spirits.

Right, because the only way to learn about a religion is to read the litany.
“and modern cults are made up for the aesthetic)”
I’d dare say that the pagan who had copies of Playboy and Sports Illustrated in his shrine as vessels for the Lady and the Lord, respectively, wasn’t really working on any aesthetic.

As an atheist, this strikes me as a description of most online apologists.
“that's probably why they worship evil spirits.”
You need to pick one. Either they seriously worship the gods, or they’re just posers. Can’t insult them both ways at the same time.
Well, that really depends on what you’re referring to as “pagan”. Druidism and Norse/Germanic Paganism are reconstructions based on scant and highly questionable records by outside observers. Satanism never really existed, at least not as Christians generally described them. Wiccans were never a singular religion but a collection of loosely related traditions which had some beliefs in common; despite that there’s no direct continuity between 20th and 21st century Wiccans and earlier forms, I wouldn’t consider the newer traditions to be false or mere larping. A lot of older shamanistic/spiritualist religions still exist, and I would consider Voodoo, Santeria, Brujeria, and Shinto to be examples of this. The New Age versions are bastardizations, though. Hermeticism is hardly practiced anymore, though they did leave records of their beliefs and practices. Ascended Masters have a very “pagan” feel about them, and might count as such despite that they originated in the 20th century. I guess you could maybe also count Scientology, depending on how broadly you’re defining the term?
Not that I would expect the OP to respect them any more if someone genuinely followed old pagan traditions, anyhow.

Whoops!
I assume he’s talking about Odin/Woden and all those. You know, Asatru, Germanic Paganism.
No expert on that, but I was under the impression that worship was not really a thing with those? That the adherents of these faiths considered the personifications of the wind, sky, thunder etc. to be powerful good friends that one could stand beside? By all means correct me if I’m wrong about this.
Confused?
