Is Christianity a cult like fstdt, randi.org, iidb.org and factnet.org? Is Christianity a cult at all or is proven? (as in the 4 Step Perfect Proof for God of the Bible). How can it be a cult if it is proven? I don't see how this is possible, since God created us and God is uncreated as proven.

I am banned at randi.org and iidb.org, but not factnet.org (not today anyway), and not fstdt (not yet anyhow). The reason they ban me is because they can't find anything wrong with the Proof for God and the love of the Lord in my life. Their owners and admins are jealous that I have what they will never have. They are jealous my Father in heaven has made my brothers and sisters in Christ the leading conscience on the planet.

BTW, the 4 step proof is severely flawed and based entirely on circular reasoning. And being banned means you've been too much of an asshole for the mods to put up with you anymore, NOT that you're some kind of expert logician. You're like the dog in the fable, who was given a bell to warn people "Hey, this is a vicious, biting dog, keep away" and mistook it for an honor.

BTW, FSTDT has only one mod (that I know of--anyone doing this other than the hardworking Distind?) to deal with every single idiot that posts here. The fact that you haven't been banned here means NOTHING.

...and I just wanted to recommend it to anyone looking for a good laugh. It's got to be the single most retarded piece of bullshit ever conceived by man.

just wanted to quickly go over what's wrong with it.

step 1: claiming that sin proves we are not perfect, but we would be if there was no god...

step 2: bad translation of the first mover argument which never worked to begin with.

step 3:(why are they "steps" anyway, this isn't and instruction booklet dumbass) the entirety of step 3 is biblical, and at a lower quality then any other biblical argument I've read in a while at that. also claims the crusades don't count because they weren't real Christians...

step 4: I don't even know what kind of bullshit this is trying to prove. quite obviously doesn't understand the basic concept of infinity...

...also for some reason the page has a video of a bad dane cook show, right in the middle of the page.

1. Cool...I never thought I would join a cult!

2. The whole "jealous" thing is how all the Fundies I've ever known explain people not liking them or disagreeing with their beliefs. They are taught that.

3. The idea of non-believers being jealous fits nicely with their notion that they can act so artificially happy that non-Fundies will run to ask them why they are so happy and they will be able to convert them. It's the "When Harry Met Sally" "I'll have what she's having" theory of evangelism. They go to great lengths to prove their happiness to the outside world when most of the ones I have known are actually pretty miserable. Plus, none of them have ever actually converted anyone that way but if you point that out they become very perplexed.

Don't forget the crappy, apparently hand-drawn and scanned "exponential" graph (you can tell it's exponential, even though it doesn't look much like it, because he'll repeatedly insist that it is) he drags out all the time, complete with unnumbered axes and no evidence whatsoever of even being based on a single numerical observation, much less a careful tabulation of repeat readings, made with equipment calibrated to known accuracy, and analysed with a best fit calculation from which some measure of deviation from the ideal could also be gleaned. As an added bonus, he argues that you can't draw an exponential curve starting from zero at minus infinity, when actually one of the most well known and useful properties of an exponential curve is that it does converge as it tends to infinity.

1) Public forum websites like FSTDT and randi.org are not cults. They're just websites. Anyone can join in on them, provided they practice the normal standards of civility. These standards are usually set out quite clearly when you sign up for an account, so you know exactly how to behave. There is no doctrinal belief that needs to be held (kind of difficult to insist upon when it's supposed to be a public forum), and no charasmatic leader that must be obeyed.

2) Christianity has not been proven, in fact, it has repeatedly been disproven as a logical concept.

3) You were banned at randi and iidb most likely because you violated one of the aforemention clearly spelled out rules of civility. For instance, you could have been a troll, you might have harassed people, you might have spammed, etc. Read the rules on the forum and find out why.

4) While it's possible to be banned from the FSTDT forums for breaking one of the rules, people like you will absolutely never be banned from this part of the site. In fact, it's people like you who are the sole reason for the existence of this site to begin with!

Instant religion:
1) do a research about the greatest natural pleasure in life. Sex with a person you love should win fair and square.
2)introduce the word sin. Define it as "everything natur... err bad that people do." Make sure to include some really bad stuff, to give your religion some credibillity. Since people tend to act uppon their nature and bad people exist, everybody is "sinfull".
3) introduce the entity of almighty god with catchy name and interesting story behind it. Tell the people you are the only one that can speak with such entity, and that entity is the only one that can remove "sin" from people.
4) Introduce bunch of rules that are coming "from the entity". Make sure to include one about giving to church.

Is there a place or a context where this makes sense? That 4 step didn't make one iota of sense, as far as I remember. A ten-year-old would say "hm, nah, don't think so".

Only petty, childish sites would ban anyone because they are jealous or don't agree with the person.
Most sites ban people for being insufferable know-it-all, without actually knowing anything, or for spamming or trolling. Or for being outright hostile to people on the site.
In other words; the banned person is to blame for the ban. Plus, most sites will give a warning, so you know you are breaking the rules, before you are banned, so you can mend your ways or get out on your own.
