[Crapture Ready creates a brand new sub-forum for the "Gog/Magog" prophecy]
The Coming War of Gog and Magog. Ezekiel 38 through 39 tells of a future invasion of Israel by a vast coalition of nations that surround it. As we read the headlines in the newspapers, and witness the conflict in the Middle East, it's not hard to imagine that this invasion prophesied over 2600 years ago, could be fulfilled in our lifetime.

I was getting this idea, about a website.
What if someone creates a website, much like FSTDT, and people submit "end-time prophecies" from various preachers, with the date and time, and there would be an automatic countdown, so we can keep track of them, and when nothing happens, ridicule fundies with a recording of that prophecy not getting fulfilled.

Says you, and your ilk, over the course of 200 years past and up to 200 years into the shrill, annoying future that you folks promise us.
THIS BOARD IS UNDER CHRISTIAN OCCUPATION. I AND MY BROTHERS HAVE GIVEN THIS POST A 1 AND WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE ALL NEW POSTS A RATING OF '1' IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE RATINGS DOWN. WE WILL DO THIS MULTIPLE TIMES EACH DAY, FROM MULTIPLE COMPUTERS AND WORKSTATIONS, IN ORDER TO COUNTERBALANCE THE ATHEIST BIAS OF THIS WEBSITE.
HAVE A NICE DAY,
YOUR CHRISTIAN OCCUPIER
It's been conflicts and wars in the Middle East since man first put up their tents in those barren good-for-nothing area.
Any "prophecy" talking about a war in the area in the future has a probability of 1 and is not a prophecy but a statement of fact.
As long as religion exists and one believe they have more claim to the truth and claim to "holy" places, there will continue to be wars in the area.
My solution, withdraw all international assistance and let the nutcases duke it out.
Sinister wing:
There were several predictions posted here where dates a few weeks in the future were claimed. The predictor had a website with a counter that counted down the days to the end of the world. When the 'end' came, they didn't even change the website - it just kept counting up higher negative numbers in the display.
You have to wait a few thousand years before the Magog appear.
But don´t worry, mankind has the spaceship Andromeda with its captain Dylan Hunt to fight against them ;)
i can make prophecies too.
i predict that tomorrow, a baby will be born in China. HOLY FUCKING SHIT, BATMAN! YOU MUST BE A PROPHET!
@Mister Spak
They stole my idea! lol
All that sounds somewhat familiar...Oh yeah! 1975 and 1976.
Hey, Messy Savant: Way to keep yourself focused on your work. I bet your supervisor is going to yell at you to get out of his office and back to the fry machine.
@ Furlong
You read my mind.
Sort-of-on-topic: "Gog" and "Magog" are two characters who recently appeared in the Justice Society of America comics. Well, Magog appeared years back in the Kingdom Come series (which was totally fucking awesome) and he was violently insane, destroying Kansas in a thermonuclear inferno in order to catch one criminal. Gog is significantly nicer than Magog and has been working on fixing famine and disease the world over. Gog seems like a cool guy.
Someone call Dylan Hunt!

NO ONE IS COMING TO GET YOU MORONS! YOU'RE STUCK HERE UNTIL YOU DIE. YES, WITH US.
So stop dissing us before we stone you to death. The caps of truth have spoken.
@MessianicServant: Ooh, rate-spamming. You just go ahead and do that - it only means that the *true* cream of the looniest loons will float to the top. (You probably don't know how statistical sciences work, no?) I've been voting most stories 5 *anyway*. In many cases, you see, the looniness of your average thing that gets posted is way, way, way off the charts.
Hey guys. Rember that he didn't predict war in the middle east, but Israel being invaded "by a vast coalition of nations that surrounds it". Lebanon is anarchy and couldn't invade their own country, let alone Israel. Egypt has a dictator who's more busy keeping his own power without being distracted by a war with Israel. Jordan generally tries to avoid conflicts and would probably only join in a war with heavy enticement after it becomes clear who the winner will be. That leaves Syria. They might try to invade Israel if they thought they could succeed, but one country isn't a vast coalition. ALL the countries that surround Israel wouldn't make a vast coalition. So his prophecy fails!
Ezekiel also contains the whole wheels-within-wheels thing. If you believed in Ezekiel's prophetic prowess, you would also not dismiss that UFOs are Satan. Of course, that passage can also be interpreted as pure insanity. Which it is. So there.
Confused?
