"Have you guys ever noticed that most atheists that you meet are a hell lot more depressed then agnostic or religious people?"
You've clearly never been to Rapture Ready. And yes, I've had bouts of depression, but my beliefs have had nothing to do with it. In fact I've been a lot happier ever since I quit religion for good.
"They have nothing to look toward in life, and nothing to turn to."
Looking back at my life, I found it was full of "looking forward to": my first trip to Disney World, other vacations, concerts, the first day of school, going to college a new job, new releases, retirement. See, when you actually live this life, instead of waiting for that mythical next life you can find many things to look forward to.
"Also since I'm making a thread about atheists anyways, why are Atheists so obsessed over the ideal of nothing?"
Why are you so obsessed over groveling to a 2000 year old dead hippie?
"They defend their "cause" to no end, and as much as any other religious person."
OF course we have to defend ourselves, we get bullied and harassed to no end by fundies like you. You expect us to just sit there and take it?
"They too have a religion, except their religion is based around worshipping nothing."
That kind of defeats the point of atheism, doesn't it?
"Say it isn't a religion, but Atheism posses most points involved with religion except the god part, they merely celebrate nothing as their "god" figure."
Name one. Oh, wait, there is that do unto others thing.
