Trump cult. Anyone that has ANY disagreements with the shitgibbon is to be attacked, lied about and disrespected. Even ones they praised, because they did praise Trump once and sometimes Trump even praised them, to be forever vilified for one slight to Trump.
Not even Trump managed to fuck up McCain's sendoff. I don't know how many of his staff and lawyers were standing behind him with spray bottles and rolled up newspapers as he typed but they managed to keep him from being himself. Of course it's still early, but when you're a bigger dick with less restraint than Trump - who McCain explicitly and publicly stated he did not want to attend his funeral - it says something bad about you.
Ghost subscribes to the rumour - debunked many times - that McCain set fire to a Navy boat by turning on the afterburners on his plane.
Or maybe he doesn't believe it and is merely propagating the rumour, for whatever reason.
Either way, fuck Ghost.
As for McCain, he had good points and bad points. No need to make shit up regardless of whatever one's opinion of him is.

I sometimes wonder if wingnuts say such outrageous things in the most outrageous fashion because they know it will be outrageous.
Back in the day; If a political figure you disagreed with, died, you would simply go "my condolences to their family" and leave it at that. Likewise folks like the Parkland kids would simply get disapproving looks and labeled "misguided" by the Right-Wingers.
But nowadays; They talk like comic book villains, horror-flick psychos and schoolyard bullies. They're not even pretending to be adults anymore!

Really? I actually haven't seen any of that. Most of the leftists I've talked to are much the same as me. They didn't agree with McCain, but they recognized his integrity and respected his ability to put country before party. (Except for that bit around 2008.)
I've seen a few far-left people reminding people that McCain was no saint, in a way which is borderline equivocation with the general awfulness of the current Republican Party. They're a minority as far as I've seen, though.
I've said about him in the past, "Most of the time, he's someone you can respect regardless of whether you agree with him. And then every once in a while, he does stupid shit like [this]" whatever the current [this] might be (and there was more than usual of that in the 2008 election). I've said similar in the past about Lindsey Graham, only Graham is more of a warmonger, less likely to stand against the party for his beliefs (in recent years, much less likely), and more likely to act like a stereotypical racist grandpa. The only other Republican I have a comparable level of respect for is Lisa Murkrowski.
