[Why do you accept the bible then with no scientific backing for the core claims? Where's the "scientific integrity" in that?]
Huh? Why do you love your wife without scientific backing for the core claims of your wedding vows? Where's the "scientific integrity" in that?

The bible makes claims about the age of the Earth, the origins of humanity and numerous historical events. These things can be and are subjected to scientific scrutiny and have been proven false or highly exaggerated. A wedding is an emotional socio-economic event. There is no scientific investigation involved. As such, it makes no sense to raise the issue of scientific integrity’. I hope this helps clear up your misconceptions. Have a nice day.
heh.
I'm just imagining Newton's First Law of Matrimony.... probably: "Remember, always say Yes, Dear, no matter what".

Not a good idea if the question is, "Does this make me look fat?"
One cannot actually prove love, though one can observe behaviors which are likely motivated by love.
With the high divorce rate, it would be a mistake to claim much of anything, one way or the other, for wedding vows.

Does anyone have to get hit on the head with an apple?
Frying pan or rolling pin, perhaps?
I loved my husband for ten years before we said our wedding vows, and he has never given me any reason to doubt that he love me in return.
Sure, very little scientific integrity, but love isn't really that scientific or logical, is it?
What does love have to do with the simple fact that bats aren't birds? Do bats become birds when you put in enough love?
What does love have to do with the simple fact that is impossible to put two representatives of all animals species in the world into a wooden box, and that these animals survive there for several months? Noah's ark would have been a graveyard after a very short time, regardless how much love you put in it.
What does love have to do with the simple fact that "go forth and multiply" is a disastrous advice for the 21st century? The world is overpopulated and cannot sustain such a huge population, regardless how much love we put in it.
What does love have to do with the simple fact that "Jesus died for your sins! How heartless of you when you don't accept him!" is nothing but emotional blackmail? Emotional blackmail is NOT love, regardless how often fundies try to twist this.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
