"If a biological basis is found, and if a prenatal test is then developed, and if a successful treatment to reverse the sexual orientation to heterosexual is ever developed, we would support its use as we should unapologetically support the use of any appropriate means to avoid sexual temptation and the inevitable effects of sin."

...uhhh...so you're saying that if we find a definite "yes, this here makes this baby gay" thing, you'll want to change it to make that baby grow up to fuck the opposite gender?
So there's really nothing to make you understand that it's okay to be gay, is there?
There are several obvious wrongs with this statement.
1. reverse the sexual orientation to heterosexual
This implies that heterosexual is the natural state of being.
2. sexual temptation and the inevitable effects of sin
Sex =/= sin, get it through your head.
3. Out of nowhere, you pull the idea that gays are more sexual than straight people.
Which is not true.
You are:
1. A moron
2. A bigot
3. An idiot
4. A bigot
5. A moron
DIE
IN
A
FLAME.
And as usual, genetics disagrees with laws and morals when it comes to sex.
I think almost every piece of legislation that exists and touches on to areas of sexual reproduction in some form, are totally incorrect and genetically bound to be broken.
Dude. Did you just admit that one is BORN GAY????
I think you did in not so many words, but "if a prenatal test is then developed..."
I thought homosexuality was a choice? Huh? Huh?
"If a biological basis is found, and if a prenatal test is then developed, and if a successful treatment to reverse the Jewish condition to Arians is ever developed, we would support its use as we should unapologetically support the use of any appropriate means to avoid Racial impurity and the inevitable effects of sin."
If a biological basis is found, and if a prenatal test is then developed, and if a successful treatment to reverse the thought process to non-fundamentalist is ever developed, we would support its use as we should unapologetically support the use of any appropriate means to avoid fundamentalism and the inevitable effects of stupidity.

"If a biological basis is found, and if a prenatal test is then developed, and if a successful treatment to reverse the southpaw orientation to right-handed is ever developed, we would support its use as we should unapologetically support the use of any appropriate means to avoid lefty temptation and the inevitable effects of sin."
Out of all the christians cult sects, the southern baptist church has to be the worst. They and their followers spout shit that most other christian sects would find offensive. They called Jews and Hindus satanists, they boycotted Disney for allowing gay pride parades at Disneyland, not to mention their theology is borderline psychotic and sociopathic. It's the largest xtian sect in the US, and it's hard to believe that all those people are really that fucking stupid. I feel extremely sorry for them.
My wife and I saw this a few months ago, and she made an excellent point. She says the Southern Baptists, if they can do this, should also make their children ugly, extremely obedient, and cripplingly shy to help them avoid yet more "sin." No wet T-shirt contests, no nude photos on MySpace, nothing until the pastor pushes them together in their 30s because nobody else will have them. I've heard no endorsement of that from the SBs, however.
TOTAL HIPOCRACY!
We cant fiddle around with embryos so that we can choose between genders, we cant perform 'embryo selection' to diminish the odds of getting a baby with genetic deformities...yet we can mess around with their DNA to change their sexuality???
The LEAST you can say about this comment is that theyve finally accepted that sexuality is genetically encoded.
These people have a warped sense of morality!
Well, at least he's admiting one is born gay...
He's still a moron, tough.
so
if it's innate, built-in if you will, genetically coded, ie GOD DID IT, it is still a sin.
Makes as much sense as anything else in their hate-filled ethos.
Of course they wouldn't mind if the tests were done on foetal cells if it cured teh ghey!!
Well, as much as I will be hated for this point of view, having a successful means of manipulating genes or whatever to turn a fetuses sexuality to heterosexual would be a good thing.
Hateful homophobic bigots will always exist and it will always be more difficult for a homosexual person in life. Knowing first hand how difficult and prejudiced the world is against homosexuals I would not wish homosexuality on my worst enemy. So if I could spare my child that difficulty in life, I would take that opportunity.
Sadly though, the fundamentalists don't see it that way.
I thought the whole "gay gene" idea had been thoroughly debunked.
Oh wait, this is Fundie World, where only the impossible "theories" are accepted as fact.

Figures.
I actually went to Baylor in the Fall of 1968.
After six weeks with those loons I didn't drop out, I walked out. Dropping out would give them more credibility than I could muster.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
