Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be. Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in sharia, they should be deported. Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia—glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door.

Well, I do agree that Sharia itself is old and barbaric, and has no place in modern, civilized society. But then it's only fair to do the same to all "Old-Testament Law" Christians, is it not? Let's just deport them all to the same isolated island and see how long it takes for their inane rules to tear them all apart.

Some parts of sharia are fully compatible with state and federal law. For example, if you want your inheritance to follow that it says in the Quran, go ahead and set thing up that way. Perfectly legal.
Other aspects are not compatible. But like some kinds of Mormon practice (polygamy, for example) state and federal law prevail. You can't have four wives, period.
There's no need to force people out of the country if they believe Sharia. We have laws to keep people from practicing those aspects of it that are incompatible with state and federal law.
It's not that hard. Newt's got a solution in search of a problem.
