Actually they're not copying at all. Tea Party events were organized by RW groups, Promoted by FoxNews and RW media, Had buses supplied by Koch Bros and ALWAYS has Republican speakers scheduled weeks ahead. Branco really panders to these dishonest talking points of the right.
The groundswell your seeing now is community organized protests against an dictorial corporate government. That's why it's spread in every state, not Conservative centres as was the Tea Party. And as soon as the Tea Party funds dried up, right after 2012, the numbers plummeted with the careers of Palin, Bachman and their like.
It's important to note this real dynamic too: Remove Gay Rights and the Health care scenarios and EVERYTHING ELSE the Tea Party bitched about is Trumpism and Republican in overdrive. "We don't want corporate tools in office, we don't want them all chummy with their Banker overlords, we don't want more taxes, we don't want social security or medicare destroyed"
Then they vote in those who are all about everything they say they hated.
They say they're tired of the GOP, they've been let down, everyones back plus shit they wanted out!
At their town halls they're bitchin that those aren't their voters yelling at them BUT THEY LARGELY ARE!
Says the side that Astroturfs everything.
A Million Moms is basically "A Few Angry Guys Who Hate Gays".
The Tea Party was heavily stoked and funded by Robber Barons like The Koch Brothers.
Progressives are the Majority and we're finally rising up. Where you succeeded via fear, bigotry, paranoia, stupidity, cheating and megabucks....we will with the Human Spirit and vast numbers.
It's not over! Trump, LaPen, The Golden Dawn, etc. are merely delaying the inevitable....A new better Age of Humanity.
Oh; Venus Fly-Traps are actual living plants. Your comic defeats itself in that regard.
