I have been asked: How could I be comfortable with Trump's proposal to temporarily ban any new Muslim immigrants, while policy is reviewed? The Christian ideals of love and charity in no way mandate that the safety of U.S. citizens be compromised. God’s word gives to nations the right to self defense. The mainstreaming of Islam is undermining national security and may undermine the preservation of the U.S. Constitution and the Judeo-Christian foundation on which our freedoms have been based. As for Trump’s threat to kill the families of terrorists, I abhor the unnecessary harming of innocent lives. But I am convinced that the United States has the moral justification to use every means to fight terrorism.

Ahh yes, the same love and charity and is invading countries that had nothing to do with any attack on the US?
The same love and charity that has drone strikes even the CIA admits rarely kills actual terrorists, just mostly innocent people, ironically creating more terrorists?
A country has the right to defend its citizens, true, but that has nothing to do with "god". A sensible country keeps out THE TERRORISTS whenever possible. But a person isn't labeled a terrorist at birth, nor is it coded in their DNA. If you make religion the dividing line, rather than the peaceful/ dangerous dividing line, you're likely to aggravate the peaceful.....and create more terrorists. For goodness sake, keep a cool head and be sensible. We've had enough home-grown terrorists not to fall into the trap of thinking that all Muslims pose a problem.
The mainstreaming of Islam is undermining national security and may undermine the preservation of the U.S. Constitution and the Judeo-Christian foundation on which our freedoms have been based.
Except it's not. Aside from the First Amendment, there isn't a place in the Constitution that mentions anything about any religion, and nothing about any deities.
God's Word is not US Law. The Constitution says that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". In other words, the US can neither give extra attention to Christianity, nor can it prohibit Muslims to exercise their religion.
Why Judeo-Christian? What part of Judaism is not covered by Christianity, but you still want it included?
"Every means" usually include terrorism, stupid.

That goes right out the window when muslim countries decide they don't want christianity spreading within their borders, though. Right, Alex?
Funny how that works.
Feel the christian love.
" But I am convinced that the United States has the moral justification to use every means to fight terrorism. "
You mean;
" But I am convinced that the United States will use any moral justification to use every means to trigger more terrorism in order to justify taking away rights for the feeling of more security. "
What the fuck is the "mainstreaming of Islam ?" Muslims have been here since Colonial times. You pay your taxes, you get to do the same stuff everybody else does. What is your alternative to "mainstreaming?" Ghettos?
"Judeo-Christian foundation on which our freedoms have been based." Exactly zero freedoms are based on any Judeo-Christian document or principle. Ask a first-year law student.

"What the fuck is the "mainstreaming of Islam ?""
Fundiespeak for enforcing Sharia in the US.

Wearing a yellow star badge on their shirtsleeve or something.

"Good sheeple, now bow to Lord Trump as he saunters by"
"moral justification to use every means"
Sez the Nazi,
Tortures houses of the worst kind were built on this premise and the right sees no problem with this mindset.
Because they're garbage.
This was established long ago but the right has insisted on reviving the horrors to appease the privileged. It's not enough to be rich they want mayhem for the masses
Confused?
